Riker sat up that night in the bedroom. He looked at the spot where Ariana would sleep and it was empty. As was her closet and the bottom dresser drawer. It felt like he was alone again and this time for good.
There was a knock on the front door which snapped Riker out of his thoughts. He seen it was midnight and knew who was knocking at the door.
"I told you this would happen."the person said when he answered the door.
Aria was with her family in her parents living room. They were telling stories of Aria when she was younger.
"Dinner is ready."her mother called from the kitchen.
She walked in with her grandmother and they sat next to each other.
"You are so beautiful Ariana."her grandmother said to her setting her hand on Aria'a cheek.
"Thank you."she said kindly
After dinner Aria excused herself and went outside to go for a walk. A few people waved to her and said hello. Most of them she knew and was angry about. She was angry she could remember people like that who meant nothing to her but she couldn't remember who children or husband.
"Aria,nice to have you back."A guy she recognized to be Stephen an old boyfriend of hers.
"Yeah but I'm leaving again soon"she said looking somewhere other then him.
At the doctors the other day they told her she had memories of when she was 15.
Stephen reached out and grabbed her hand "Would you like to go out some time before you leave?"he asked making butterflies swarm in her stomach.
Everything inside her was screaming no don't do it you have Riker but she couldn't fight the feeling of her 15 year old self again "Yeah sounds good."she replied
Aria went home and told her mother about her date with Stephen. Something seemed off to Aria when her mom was more excited them she was.
Riker let Carly in and shook his head "She's coming back Carly."he told her
She sighed "I only came over for one thing and I really have to get this off my chest."she said
He nodded at her to say what she had to say "What is it?"he asked
"If I could go back and change every moment I messed up things between you and Ariana I would in a heat beat. Because then maybe you wouldn't be in this mess and upset as you."she said actually meaning something for once.
Riker smiled a bit "You're finally growing up."he said
Carly rolled her eyes "It's called not being bitter anymore. So from now on if there's anything you need call me. Consider me your best friend again."
The two of them sat in silence for awhile before Riker broke it "What do you think Ariana is doing right now?"he asked
She shrugged "Who knows,hopefully trying to get her memory back."
Aria was in her room rummaging through her room at her parents and felt weird like she'd never been here. She unpacked her bag and took out the photo albums at the bottom of the bag.
She looked through the first one which was the oldest one. Every now and then she'd she something she remembered and smiled. Other times she smiled just because she loved the picture.
Now she was looking at the second album. It had the R5 design on the front with her signature written really big. All through the album was tour photos.
"I was famous?"she asked herself
Grabbing her laptop she typed in Ariana Lynch. A few things popped up but then she typed in Aria Reid and tons of videos popped up on YouTube. She watched a few videos of herself with R5. One was of her and Rydel singing call me maybe. Another which was her favorite was her and Riker singing Die in your arms together.
"R5 TV?"she questioned spotting it in the side and clicked on it.
"Here we are at the hotel in New York. And here we have Riker and the beautiful,talented and sweetest girl ever Aria."Rydel said laughing pointing her camera at Riker and Ariana.
She waved and smiled "Hey guys and Rydel has it backward shes the beautiful,talented and sweetest girl ever."Aria said
"Nope I don't think so."Rydel said when they got out of the car.
As Aria continued to watch the video she remember that day a little bit. She remembered Riker being with her on the elevator but that was it.
Picking up the phone she dialed Rikers number,he answered after two rings and Aria went crazy talking "Remember when we went to New York? Well I was watching r5 TV the New York one and I remembered it. I also remembered you being with me but only on the elevator"
Riker sighed a bit "Well at least you're remembering things. Maybe if you watch the ones you're in you'll remember eventually."he said
"I was thinking of that. I'll talk to you again soon. Goodnight Riker."she said bitting her lip
"Goodnight Aria."Riker said "I love you."he said after Aria hung up the phone.
