Chapter 25-Where Have You Been

2 Weeks Later

Today is my birthday. I'm officially 17, I was sitting in school waiting for the bell to ring when the teacher asked me to come in the hall with her, but before I could the bell rung, "Haley stay back a second" I sigh just wanting to go see my girlfriend, "have a seat" great I'm never going to get out of here, "Haley..believe it or not, you are VERY intelligent, you're passing my class with an A+ while everyone else is still struggling! Haley I set a meeting up with your mom and the principle and the rest of the teachers, their will also be a college Dean there. The meeting will be next Friday at 4:00, have a good weekend" I stand up and walk out, what? I'm passing with the highest grade? How...I'm not really that smart...I just do the stuff she teaches us to do.. "And I'd give up fore-" I answer my phone, "hey baby! Happy birthday cutie I miss you!" I smile "thanks baby I miss you too" "I'm pulling up come out side" I hang up and walk outside, "hey you okay?" She asks while im getting in the car, "yeah" I say putting on my seatbelt, we drive to her house, "Haley...I'm in love with you, you know that...which is why I'm doing what I'm about to do." I say okay and get out, "hey sweetheart" I turn and see...my dad? What the hell.. "What are you doing here you piece of shit!" I yell Natalie pulls me closer to her, "babe calm do-" "shut the fuck up, you arranged this I thought you fucking loved me, guess I was wrong stay the fuck out of my life, both of you. Bye!" I say walking away from them quickly.

2 Weeks Later

After my birthday, me and Natalie stopped talking, actually I havent even seen or heard from her. The last two weeks I've done nothing but be depressed...I hope it stops soon. I lay down on my bed yawning, my phone vibrates,

Chelsea:'hey bitch'

I laugh a little, ive never told you about Chelsea, I've known her since i was really young, she moved away a few years back, and that's when I met Faith, I guess she was more like a fill in for Chelsea. But me and Chelsea haven't talked in almost a year and a half,

Me:'hey! What's up?'

Chelsea:'tired a.f'

Me:'from?'

Chelsea:'riding so far to come see you'

I smile really big and then I hear a knock on the door I walk over to open it and its Chelsea, she hugs me really tight, I couldnt believe my bestfriend was Here!

"So what are you doing here?" I ask, "well, I missed your birthday and it was a really shitty thing to do, so I'm staying for a week, I asked your mom and she said shed go in to get your school work for you" I nod confused, but happy all the same.  "So what are we doing?" I ask her sitting down on the couch, "I dont know you tell me, do you still talk to James?" I nod, "yeah sometimes, why?" "Let's go chill with him, he'll probably shit when he sees me" I dont want to because of Natalie, but I nod not wanting to upset her. We get in her car and I tell her James address and we head to his house.

By the time we get to James house my legs asleep so when I get out, I literally fall over. Chelsea comes over laughing and helps me up, "its really not funny" james comes outside to see whats up, "oh my god Chelsea! I haven't seen you in forever!!" Chelsea hugs him laughing, "lets go inside" I follow, we go inside and sit down on the couch, "so what's up guys??" "Nothing I'm here for a week or two visiting Haley" James looks over at me, "hey, how you doing?" He knows about everything with my dad and Natalie. He knows I'm still hurting. "I'm okay I guess" he nods, "well you know I'm here Haley, what do you guys want to do today?" We shrug our shoulders not really knowing.

"I kind of wanted too g-" "Hey bubby if its okay I'm going to bring Brandon over" Natalie walks in and I freeze..whos Brandon? "Sure sis" James says turning back to us, Natalie stares at me for a minute and then walks away, "Haley? Are you okay?" I nod slowly..
