Candle Light Dinner

I stand in front of my huge mirror. I don't know what I should wear tonight. I have so many dresses but I'm not sure which fits best to me and the evening. I don't want to be overdressed. Maybe I should call Shannon. She doesn't know about John so I could tell her and she can help me here with this dress drama.
I texted her quickly.

Heeey Shan, would you like to come over. I haven't that much time but I have some news. Also I need your help.

After I texted her I went to my laptop and start tipping. I'm writing this new song as you know. You can guess, it's about John. I have just the some lines but this is probably the refrain.

I wrote this some days ago. John is the unconditional love I ever wanted. I don't know if everything went to fast like the relationship with Russell. But at John I have this feeling. It's different but it's the most beautiful thing I ever felt for anything.

The door bell rang. I haven't seen that Shannon texted me back.
She has her own key so she was in my house and went upstairs.

"Katy, it's me Shannon", she yells

I laughed.

"I'm here, bb", I walked out of my room and she walked to me.

We hugged each other.

"So what are the news. Did you finally found a boy?", she joked.

When she said boy I already thought about John. I missed him.

"Actually yes. I have a date in 2 Hours.", I said.

Shannon got big eyes and her mouth formed into a O.

"what! katy that's amazing!!!! You found someone. Who is it. Tell me, tell me. I want every detail", she said excited.

"Shan, come down. Haha you're so cute. Uhm so it's John Mayer. I had already a crush on him, months ago. Angela told me to text him so I did. Yesterday I was at his place. We had so so much fun. He wanted to kiss me and it was just a second before our lips met but than his manager called. It was a little bit embarrassing. I know I know him since yesterday but we talked 3 hours and... I trust him. I think he is the right. he cares so much about me.", I told my best friend.

"Kate, you're eyes are glowing like they never did before and you look so happy and your smile is the hugest I ever have seen. You're in love! I'm happy for you", she said while holding my hands.

The words 'You're in Love', hit me.

"Maybe I am.", I said shyly with a little smile in my face.

What is if I found the love of my life. Finally.

"So what will you wear?!", she asked and stand up.

She walked into my dress room.

"That's also why I invited you. I don't know which is the best.", I replied.

Shannon went through my clothes and picked a red dress. It's knee long. (A/N: Look at the picture ⬆)

"This is perfect. Not to glamorous and perfect for a first date. You don't know where you will go. It is good for the restaurant but also for the beach!"

I took the dress and put it on my bed.

"Thank you so much. You helped me. But I have only one hour till John is coming."
