This was the most radical day ever..
It was the team battle day, my favourite day of the year in fact.
I was on the blue team, like I have been each and every year.
I was stood, in my heavy metal bronze armor, with my favourite battle sword held in one of my hands and my shield in the other. I love the weight of the armor, and I loved how I could carry it on my own with out any assistance, it makes me feel strong.
I snapped out of my distant imagination, and swiftly turned my head to the side. I gasped when I saw a certain someone on my team: Percy Jackson. God damnit! I can't get away from him! I rolled my eyes, sighing.
Then, I felt a tug on my shoulder. And now, I had my best friend Jenny on the team, she was a daughter of Hermes but yet she was more beautiful than me, which wasn't hard. She was your typical beautiful girl, sunset blonde hair, and striking blue eyes. I turned around, and a wide smile appeared on my face.
"Guess who's on your team?!" She asked, highering her voice.
"You?" I replied almost obviously.
"No- Percy Jackson, your crush!" She shouted out, she was always too bold for me. Suddenly, I felt my cheeks redden and my palms sweating as Percy stood there smiling, obvious that he had heard Jenny.
"Since when did I say he was my crush, I'm going out with George Merchant now. Gosh." I laughed, jokingly, trying to steer the subject around. "And you better not lay a finger on me, or I will go ape crap."
"I won't."
"I know you won't, you're my best friend!" I exclaimed grabbing her and pulling her into a tight hug. She tried to squirm away, but I was far too strong for her, or any girl in this camp (apart from the Ares' kids). "I'll squash you like a pea anyway"
In the distance, I could see the Hermes's children waving, signaling for Jenny to go. I sighed, and rolled my eyes, they were all so puny. Well, maybe not Luke, he was hot, but he never asked me out, not once. "I've got to go." Jenny muttered, and she scrambled off to her team.
I frowned, and just stood there on my own, like a loner. I saw a familiar face and I quickly scowled, I knew exactly who it was. "Wanna help me? I'm not experienced at things like this, I don't fight."
"Yeah, she'll help you. I'll help you too." A husky voice added, Ryan..
"Alright." Percy nodded.
I definitely was going to kill Ryan... Later.
"Oh and... Ava?" Ryan started, I nodded. "George overheard you and Jenny, he asked me to dump you. Soo... you're dumped." I never felt so much rejection in my whole life, I tried to refrain from bursting into tears. I kept a cool and collective face on.
"Kay." I replied bluntly, now I knew what it felt like to be one of the boys, the boys I had dumped.
Suddenly, I could hear a clopping of hooves. I turned my head to the sound. And I knew it was time when I could see Chiron standing there on his 4 legs. "You may now... begin!" He announced.
I rushed off, grabbing both of the boys hands. I dragged them along. "Now as Ryan is a lady charmer, he can charm all the red females. And as I'm a gentleman charmer, I can charm ALL of the red males and plus, I'm good at fighting. And Percy, try and help Ryan, you're higher up in the good looking department then some of the boys here." Then, I saw George walking past me, my heart sank.
"Yeah you'd say that wouldn't you?!" George stopped, raising his voice. "You'd say that about the new kid, Percy Jackson, your crush, Percy Jackson."
