-Violet's Point of View-
Michael had finally fallen asleep on my chest. My arms still wrapped around him. I placed my hand on his head and moved his hair away from his eyes. I then looked at the bruise that covered his side. I closed my eyes and sighed.

"I can help you." I said softly trying not to wake him up. "We can do this together. We can get through this together. I'll never leave you." I then felt Michael stir next to me. He wrapped his arm around me and pushed his head closer to me.

I turned my head to my alarm clock that rested on my desk. 1:02 am. I sighed and out the bedside light. I kissed the top of Michael's head. "Good night."
------------
"Violet!" I heard my dad yell. My eyes snapped open and I sat up, causing Michael to wake up too.

"Mom?" I said rubbing my eyes

"What the hell is this!" He yelled walking into my room. He grabbed Michael by he collar of his shirt.

"Dad!" I yelled trying to pull him off Michael. "Stop!"

My dad shoved me back and dragged Michael downstairs. "I should not come home to a boy in bed with my daughter!"

"Dad, we didn't do what you think we did!" I yelled. "Did it look like we took out fucking clothes off!"

"Well, why the fuck is this boy's shirt opened!" My dad yelled as he opened the door and pushed Michael out.

"Michael!" I called as he staggered to his feet. I pushed my dad aside. I grasped Michael's hand.

My dad grabbed my arm. "Get inside." He said pulling me in.

I tried to pulled away from him. "Let me go!" I screamed.
---------------
"Josh, why did you kick that boy out!" My mom yelled at my dad from downstairs.

I sat there in my room staring out the window. My phone buzzed. I sighed and looked down at it.

Hey Violet, I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't know I would get you in trouble like that. I won't some over again. I'm sorry.

I looked over to his window and saw the blinds were closed. I sighed and looked back at my phone.

Open your window, Michael.

I then stood up and opened my window to see Michael sitting on his window sill.

"Hey Violet." He said quietly looking down.

"I'm sorry about my dad." I said sighing.

"I shouldn't of stayed over. I'm sorry." He said. "It's my fault. I got you in trouble."

"Michael, it's not your fault." I said.

"Michael!" I heard someone call from inside his house.

He looked down. "I should go." He said.

I looked down. "Okay."

I sat there my window still open watching him. I sighed and climbed back into my room.

-Michael's Point of View-
"Why didn't you tell me your father called you?" My mom snapped.

I sighed. "I didn't think you needed to know about it."

"Michael, this is something you have to tell your mother and I." Jake said trying to sound sympathetic to my mother.

I rolled my eyes at him. "You're such a douche." I snapped. "My real father will always be a better man than you will ever fucking be."

My mom looked at me. "Michael, we do not use that tone in this house hold."

I looked at her. "Oh, really?" I say looking at her. "I don't give a fuck about anyone or anything anymore! My life was so much better when Jake wasn't in it and when I had a mother who actually gave a shit about me!"

"Don't talk like that to your mother!" Jake yelled.

I shook my head. "You don't get it do you?"

"Get what?"

"I'm being bullied because of these-" I paused and lifted my shirt. "Took my shirt off for gym class and got laughed at for the rest of the day. And look who caused that."

"You brought that upon yourself, you little shit." Jake snapped.

"I brought it on? No I think you brought it on!" I yelled.

"Michael! Jake!" My screamed over us. "Stop!"

Jake and I stopped yelling at each other.

My mom looked over at Jake. "You've physically abused my son. My son has been in the hospital because of you." My mom shook her head. "Jake you need to move out and find somewhere else to stay for the time being. I can't have you around my son anymore."

I looked at my mom in shock. "Mom?" I said confused.

"Go up to your room Michael." She said looking at me.

"Okay." I said in a daze.
------------
As I ran into my room I picked up my phone and called Violet. After a few rings she answered.

"Hey Mic-" she started to say.

"Open your window." I said interrupting her.

"Okay." She replied as I hung up the phone.

I ran over to my window. "Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong." I said with a smile on my face.

"I haven't really seen you smile and I'm guessing something good happened."

I nodded. "It's about Jake. He's leaving."
