Inspired by the song Don't by Bryson Tiller...❤️
With my own twist of course.

Have you ever had that feeling in your gut that something just ain't right? Well, that's the feeling I have now. I tried to push it to the back of my mind and not think about it too much, but to be honest, it ain't working.
"What's wrong Jig," my homeboy Dre asked me. I took a look at the basketball court we just had a friendly one on one game on and sighed.
"I got that feeling man, something ain't right," I confessed, feeling that sinking feeling in my stomach. I could feel him looking at the side of my face. "You know last time you said that, Nicole got gunned down," he said.
Nicole was a good friend of ours. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and ended up getting robbed, then gunned down. Her life ended at the young age of twenty.
"I know," I replied as I shook my head. Dre stayed silent and ain't said a word after that. I wonder what this feeling is and why it's been happening so much lately without a reason.
"It could be a false alarm too, like all the other times," he finally spoke. "You right," I replied as I got up from the benches, "you ready to bounce?"
"Yeah, let's go," Dre replied as he got up. He wiped the pouring sweat off of his face with his shirt as we made our way to my Mercedes.
When I got the car running, I had to turn the air on. It's 102 degrees out here in the San Fernando Valley. The breeze hit our faces and instantly eased the heat of our bodies.
AD x Juice blasted out of the stereo, as I drove to the city of Reseda, to drop Dre off at his house. Both of us bobbed our head to the music as the beat banged causing the mirrors to shake.
Music is the only thing that could calm my nerves and make me stop thinking for a second. I get so captivated and feel as if I'm in my own world. For a second, it felt as if everything was just fine.
I made a right turn and ended up on a block with nothing but houses. After pulling up to the third one, I pulled over. Turning the music off, I looked at Dre. "Alright fam, I'll see you later."
"Alright, stay up lil bro," he said as he gave me a handshake. He got out of the car, then waved me off before walking up the driveway.
I pulled off in the silence of my car. Nobody was with me now and the music was off. I had no choice but to sit up and think about why I was feeling the way I was feeling.
What could it be?
I thought that maybe something was wrong with BreAnne, my four year old daughter. That thought instantly faded knowing the type of woman her mother is.
Even though she hates me, we have good communication when it comes to our child. So if something were wrong, she would tell me.
I got on the freeway and made my way to Los Angeles. I decided enough was enough and turned my music back on. The whole ride was pleasant after that.
