Dre been blowing up my phone for a week now, but I been too busy with BreAnne to even answer or return his calls. I bet he's just hitting me to let me know his lil approach with Alexus ain't work out. I could put that on my life.

I sat down on the patio watching as the cars rolled passed and people walked by. I finally came to my senses, if he been calling for a week straight, it had to be something important. I pulled my phone out and finally decided to call him back.

"Nigga, why ain't you been answering my calls," he confronted me. I smacked my lips at him before letting out a sigh. "I been busy with BreAnne man, who knew her mom had to deal with all of this shit."

He chuckled. "Well it's a good thing you picked up. Me and Carmelo on our way over."

"Alright, I'll see y'all when y'all get here."

Once we talked a little more then ended the call, I wondered how they were getting here. Both of them ain't got their license yet and they ain't got no car or no ride to get here. I'm the one who drives us everywhere but hey, I guess they found themselves a new me.

They really wasn't playing when they said they was on they way because less then fifteen minutes later, somebody started to knock on the door. I opened it to see Dre and Carmelo.

We started acting all rowdy, greeting each other like we ain't seen each other in years. The situation grew serious real quick though. "We have another person with us," Carmelo said. I looked behind them confused. "Who, Casper?"

"No, Alexus," Dre replied as she appeared in front of me from the side of the house. Without thinking, I walked outside and pulled her into a hug. There ain't no denying that I missed her. I missed her ass like crazy.

I just held her, refusing to let her go as she did the same. Something told me she was most likely crying. "I'm sorry," I whispered, realizing whatever Dre did worked and I was wrong.

I finally let her go, watching as she wiped her tears away. "Can we talk? Can I explain," I asked, almost pleading in a way. She shook her head yes before we headed in the house.

"Y'all need us to leave or can we stay and watch how this plays out," Carmelo asked with a smirk on his face. "Neither," I said, heading for my bedroom. Once we were both in, I shut the door behind us.

"I just want to start this off by saying I needed you, Jigga! I needed you more than ever and you just gave up on me like I ain't mean shit to you," Alexus cried, doing nothing to hold back the tears that was falling. She was being vulnerable, something she never did.

She sat down on my bed, burying her face in the palms her hands as she broke down. I tried not to shed tears with her as a man, but to see her in pain because of me made me feel like I was the worse person in the world.

"Alexus man, I wanted to be there but I just ain't know how. I let myself focus on other shit and forgot to be there for you," I confessed, "I'm wrong for that, I admit it."

She looked up at me with her face all wet and her eyes all puffy. "What do you mean you focused on other stuff? What other stuff, Jigga. I just don't understand!"

I decided not to touch into that topic. "I don't know why you pushing all this shit on me man. If you woulda just been bold and told me the truth instead of leading me to believe some other shit then we wouldn't be here. I get why you did what you did, but come on. I'm not the only one wrong."

"I'm wrong too Jigga and I'm sorry," she said, wiping away tears, "I let this man control me out of fear. In the beginning I was doing it out of love, but I grew wiser and realized that ain't what I wanted anymore. When you saw me back with him after my dad left, it was only because he came back and threatened me with the same gun he threatened you with."
