Katherine: I'm outside.

I let out a sigh as I slipped my phone back into my pocket. It's crazy how fast the weekend went by. BreAnne stayed with me and I swear I got used to her being around. I don't want her to leave.

I grabbed her Elmo backpack from out of my room and her pink suitcase. "Daddy, why do you have my stuff," she asked me from inside of the kitchen where she was eating grapes.

I let out a chuckle because her face was so serious. "Your mom's outside waiting on you."

"But I don't want to leave," she whined as her lip started to pout. Her favorite fruit wasn't even a want anymore, she dismissed her grape eating and got up from the table.

"Can I stay please," she begged me as she grabbed my hand.

"You have school tomorrow BreAnne," I reminded her.

It hurts me to see my daughter on the verge of crying. When it comes to her, I give her any thing she asks for, but I can't give her what she wants this time.

"Daddy, you can just take me to school," she suggested.

"I wish I can, but if you stay I couldn't get you there on time. Daddy lives in Los Angeles and you live all they way in Pasadena," I tried to explain the distance issues to her the best way I knew how, "that's twenty whole minutes away on a good day."

"Ok," she replied bummed out as we headed for the front door.

"You don't want your grapes," I asked her.

She shook her head. "You can have them daddy, so you can not miss me when I'm gone," she said. I started to smile as we walked out of the door. That's cute of her, but little does she know I'm going to miss her regardless.

Katherine was waiting for us outside of the apartment gate. I could already sense the bad attitude she had by her stance and by the way her face looked.

"Did you have fun," she asked BreAnne, ignoring my presence.

"Yes," BreAnne answered as I put her backpack on her. I handed Katherine her suitcase once we finally really acknowledged each other.

I grabbed BreAnne's hands after, before going down to her level. Her face looked so sad and disappointed. "Don't be sad baby girl, daddy's going to come get you next weekend, okay?"

A smile appeared on her face and she shook her head excitingly causing her curls to bounce all over the place. "Okay."

I pulled her into a tight hug and swept her off of her feet. When I started spinning around in a circle, she started to erupt into a very loud laughter. It caused me to laugh with her.

"Bye baby," I told her as I put her down.

"Bye daddy," she replied, blowing me a kiss after. I caught it and she smiled.

Katherine grabbed her hand and we shared one last glance at each other before they turned around and started walking towards her car.
