Sapphire was starting to grow a visible baby bump and in my eyes, it felt as if she was doing everything in her power to get under my skin.

I would hear her snicker as I walk by and watch as she rubbed her stomach with a smirk on her face. Whenever I entered the same room as her, she would purposely bring up her baby shower that she has coming up and brag about how Corey said he was going to go, something I never knew.

It hurt me, but because I was working, I had to hide my pain. At so many points, I wanted to break down and cry but refused to. At times I just wished she knew that she won the battle. If her goal was to make me feel like shit and add on to the pain I already deal with, she was doing a mighty good job.

I sat in the break room at my lonesome, not wanting to bothered by nobody. The sound of footsteps entering caught my attention, but I didn't even bother to check and see who it was.

"Alexus, baby," said Grandma Sugar.

I looked at her to see the biggest smile on her face. "There's a handsome young man here for you," she informed me.

That's when happiness entered my heart and life entered my veins for a moment, I really thought it was Jigga but I had to remind myself how our relationship is now.

Curiosity took over my mind as she exited the room. What handsome dude is here to see me? Maybe I have some secret admirer that's been watching me for awhile. My eyes nearly rolled to the back of my head when I saw that it was just Dre.

I'm not saying he's ugly, but I just don't view him as attractive. I guess it's because he's like a big brother to me and it's disgusting for me to even see him like that. "Hey," I greeted him.

"You have a minute," he asked me with this serious look on his face.

"Yeah, I'm on my break right now," I told him.

"Well come on, we need to talk," he said.

We made our way to an empty booth then sat in it. He let out a sigh as he shook his head before speaking. "Jigga told me how he went up to yo' house to talk to you, but you basically went off on him and told him to leave."

"Dre, I swear on everything I love I was about to tell him everything ain't what it looks like. I don't want to be with Corey, I hate him but he's forcing me to be with him. Right when I was about to tell him that, Corey came up out of nowhere," I explained, excluding the gun, "I had no choice but to tell him what I told him, I don't wanna keep getting him on."

"You ain't gotta tell me this, I'm already knowing but for some reason, he bugging out," he replied, shaking his head again, "he really thinks you feel the same way Corey feels."

"Dre, please let him know everything I'm saying," I pleaded.

"Oh I am," he said, "but there's more. I felt like I needed to tell you this since he never got the chance to that day he went to your house."

"What's up," I asked him, curious.

"Well um," he started off, "he wanted to tell you he was moving. I told him that you deserve to know 'cause deep down I knew something was up with this whole situation. He lives in Pasadena now."
