"Everything okay over here?" Lily questioned the pair, noticing they seemed to have talked about whatever it was Selena needed to talk to Taylor about. Selena turned and nodded at her friend, her eyes quickly moving to the girl next to her, who was clearly distracted by someone else. Shaking her head, Selena smiled as she turned back in her seat to see Taylor smiling up at Karlie.
"Well, I need to run to the restroom. Lil, you wanna come with me?" Selena asked her friend with a smile. Lily raised an eye brow, unsure what was going on. Selena's mood was completely different than it had been earlier. "Um, yea. Sure. Will you guys be ok?" Lily faced the two blondes, both of whom were still staring at each other with smiles on their faces. Lily laughed at the sight.
"I'm sure we can manage." Taylor replied dryly, amused by her friend's need to constantly make sure she was okay being alone. Taylor was used to being alone. She had practically isolated herself from everyone the last few months. That is, until a certain green eyed model walked into her life. Even after only knowing Karlie for the last few hours, Taylor had never once felt like she was alone.
Lily and Selena headed off towards the bathrooms, leaving the two blondes to continue their not so subtle staring contest. Both girls had figured it out by now that something was definitely happening between the two blondes. Selena sensed it moments after meeting Karlie, and after her little talk with Taylor, she was more than sure her friend was crushing hard on this girl.
Lily started piecing together moments from the night. Everything seemed different once Taylor met Karlie. She somehow brought back the Taylor everyone had known and loved. Lily knew Karlie was a sweet girl and friendly with everyone. But there was that weird energy she felt around them. After talking to Karlie and seeing their little staring contests with each other, Lily knew she wasn't imagining it. There was something going on with them. Suddenly, Selena's reaction to meeting Karlie made sense. 'She knows."
As soon as they entered the bathroom, Lily turned to Selena. "Alright. Spill it. I know you know something." Selena smiled before dropping her head to look at the floor. "What are you talking about Lil?" She tried to play it off, but Lily saw right through it.
"Okay. Look. I know you know something because of the way you were acting. Karlie is one of the sweetest people in the world, and you were beyond rude and cold towards her. I've seen you do that before. The only time you act that way, is when you get protective over Taylor. So, that got me thinking. Why would you feel the need to protect Taylor from Karlie the gentle green eyed giant?" Lily narrowed her eyes and stared into the shorter girls eyes.
Selena let out a snort, quickly covering her face with her hands as she tried to muffle it. "Did you just refer to Karlie as a gentle green giant?"
Lily smiled, realizing she actually called her friend that. "Answer the question Selena."
Shaking her head, Selena offered a small smile. "Lil." She knew what Lily was getting at, which means Lily must have figured it out as well.
Selena's sudden coyness was confirmation enough for Lily. She saw the two first hand, so she knew what was going on. And Selena's reaction to all of this was more proof she knew it too. Coming to the realization they both knew, their eyes lit up wide. Lily shook her head as Selena's smile grew.

"Is everything okay with you two?" Karlie questioned, wanting to make sure the two friends were ok. "Oh yea. Just, you know. Boy troubles." Taylor replied with a smile. Karlie let out a small laugh. "Yea. Boy troubles. God boys can be so dumb sometimes. Thankfully girls are way better."
