Clearing her throat, Selena looked up at the two blondes, interrupting them from their silent conversation. "It's getting pretty late. We should probably get going." Lily nodded her head in agreement, realizing the bar had turned the lights on and they were some of the only people left. "Yea. We should head out."

They all stood up and headed towards the doors. "I'm going to go pull the car around front. Did you still want me to drive you home Tay?" Lily asked as she shuffled into her coat. Karlie opened the door and held it open for everyone to walk through, as she checked her pockets to make sure she had everything.

"That's ok Lil. I can take her home if you want. I'll probably just crash there instead of going back to the hotel." Selena offered, knowing Lily had a longer drive and a baby to get home to.

Taylor glanced over at Karlie, hoping maybe she would offer to take her home instead so they could spend some more time together. "Um." She paused, hoping Karlie would get the hint. After a moment of awkward silence, Selena looked to her friend to see what the problem was. She saw Taylor looking at Karlie who seemed to be completely oblivious to the exchange.

Putting two and two together, Selena shook her head. "Karlie, do you have a ride home?" Selena questioned with a small smile. "Oh. I uh, well Martha drove us here. But she left. So, no actually." Karlie replied with a laugh, stuffing her hands into the pocket of her jacket. "But I don't mind walking. I don't live far from here."

Taylor tried to hide her smile, thinking how nice a walk home with Karlie would be. That would give them plenty of time to talk more. "Are you sure? It's really late babe. You shouldn't be walking around the city alone at this time of night." Lily questioned, not liking the idea at all.

A low rumble sounded overhead, causing the girls to look up at the sky. "Yea. No way you're walking home. It's going to storm. I'll drive you home." Lily said in a serious tone. "I'll go get the car." "Oh, I'll walk with you. I parked next to you guys." Selena offered.

Nodding her head, Lily walked over to give Taylor a hug. "Thank you for coming out tonight Tay. I hope you had fun." Taylor wrapped her arms around Lily, hugging her tight. "I'm glad you made me come out with you guys. I did have fun." Taylor replied with a small laugh. "Thank you Lil."

"For what babe?" Lily asked, rubbing her hand up and down Taylor's back "For just, I don't know. For getting me to come out tonight, for always being there for me, for everything I guess." Taylor mumbled, squeezing her friend tighter.

Lily pulled back with a smile. "You know I would do anything for you Taylor. I'm always here for you babe. I love you." "I love you too Lil." Taylor replied, leaning back in for a quick hug.

Selena walked over to Karlie who was watching Lily and Taylor with a smile on her face. Seeing Selena approach her, she wasn't sure what to expect. Karlie decided to be the first to break the silence. "It was really nice meeting you Selena." She mumbled out, trying to keep her nerves under control.

Selena tried to hide her amusement. She couldn't believe Karlie was intimidated by her. Karlie was twice her size, far more athletic, obviously gorgeous, and she was a model; her job was to be confident about herself.

"It was nice meeting you too, Karlie." Selena said with a smile. Karlie returned it with a nervous smile of her own. "Oh, come here." Selena suddenly pulled Karlie in for a hug, catching the taller girl off guard. Selena barely returned their handshake earlier, so this was completely unexpected. Selena pulled back, her face becoming completely serious. "You better not hurt her." She pointed a finger at Karlie, looking at her pointedly. "I like you. Don't make me regret saying that."

Karlie's cheeks turned bright red, surprised by the comment. She looked at Selena earnestly, "I would never do anything to hurt her; I promise you that." Smiling, Selena nodded her head in acceptance. "Good to hear."
