19. Fight

"Miss Scott, how do you do it?" Mr. Tanner asked when Anna and I walked into the classroom, 3 minutes late. "Wha?" Anna couldn't form a word properly because she was eating a cereal bar. "How do you manage to be late every single lesson?" He said and Anna shrugged. She swallowed and cleared her throat in a very dramatic way. "I guess I just had a lot of practise." She sassed and walked to our table. I followed her and grabbed the books out of my backpack. "I'm used to this behavior from you Anna, but I don't expect you to turn out the same Skyler." He said with narrowed eyes. "Got it." I said with a nod. The whole class was silent. He was still pissed about the first history lesson, I could tell. That was a couple days ago, and he was still mad at me. And I really didn't care. He turned around to the board and wrote with chalk 'Napoleon' on it with big letters. "Oh joy." I heard Anna next to me mutter.

"You sure about this?" Anna asked while we stood next to our lunchtable. "You know you're practically gonna declare a war right?" Ashton said and I nodded. "I know, but they really need to stop. I'm getting sick of them and they get worse every day. I even get them in the middle of the night!" I said and threw my hands up. "You have my blessing." Calum said while taking a bite of his sandwich. "That means a lot Cal, thanks." I said sarcastically. Jup, this was about the texts I have been receiving from Lux and her idiots. That's what I call them now. But they got worse every day, I even got death threaths and they sent me this night at 3am a text. Like..... ???!!??!!?!?! How? Luckily my phone was turned off, but still. They had to stop. So I'm just gonna ask them nicely to stop. "GO TIGER!" Anna said and slapped my butt. I chuckled and walked to Lux's table. "Hey Lux, can I talk to you?" I said when I stood next to their table and she turned around. "Whatsup?" She said like nothing was wrong. "Look, I'm gonna go right to the point. I know you've been stalking me with these crazy texts and I need you to stop. They're not working, so stop wasting your time and mine." I said with a glare. "I don't know what you're talking about." She said and turned around again. "You know fucking well what I'm talking about. You think I'm stupid? You know, it's really easy to track a anonymous number, and guess who the phone belongs to? Surprise surprise. You." I said. I didn't track the number, but she didn't have to know that. "You wanna start a fight right here? In the middle of the lunch hall?" She said snobbily. "Whatever it takes to stop you from sending these shallow texts. Besides, everyone knows you don't have the vocabulary to diss someone." I said and she glared. She turned around to her friends and I just knew she gave them a 'I got this' look. After that she stood up. "Look Skyler, I'm just gonna tell you the harsh truth no one dares to tell you. Nobody likes you. You probably moved because your dad cheated on your mom. I would too, if I had a daughter like that." She said. Oh no. She did not just go there. "You don't know anything about my life, so I suggest you shut the fuck up and go crying to your daddy and your fucking famous uncle who no one cares about. See if they care, because I sure as hell don't." I fired back. "Oh please. Everyone knows I'm better than you. You're just jealous. Oh, and where did you buy that top? Walmart?" She asked and some of her idiots 'oohed'. "Well, at least my clothes fit. I don't buy my clothes two sizes too small so my boobs will be on display." I said and she narrowed her eyes. There was a group standing around us now. "You're just jealous." Was her response. Oh wow. No good comebacks anymore. Okay. Then I will go on. "Yea, soooo jealous." I said sarcastic. "I'm sure people take you really seriously with that tight tank top. At least I have self respect." I said. She was silent for a while. "Well, well..... At least I can have guys. You probably haven't even dated one guy, so I suggest you stop trying so hard and stop talking." She said. "And I'm sure they all liked you for your personality." I said and the group around us ooh'ed. "And your name also doesn't make sense. I mean Lux? Come on. Everyone knows you're cheap as fuck. That's probably why all your tops are too small. You can't afford them in your own size." I fired and she was silent. I saw her looking for something to say back, but she didn't know what to say and I grinned. Determination was showed on her face and she brought her hand back to slap me. But before she could, someone grabbed her upper arm. "Thanks for holding her for me." I said without looking at the person. "What so you think you're doing?" Lux screeched. "You don't want to start a fight. Not here." I heard the person who held her back say. I looked up and was met with bright blue eyes. It was Luke. He shot me a wink before walking away. Lux huffed and walked after him. What the fuck was that? I was so ready to smash her face in and rip those fake eyelashes off, gosh. When the people around us saw that we weren't gonna fight they were gone quickly. Anna dragged me to our lunch table and bursted out laughing. "Damn. That was epic." Michael said and I grinned. But what the fuck was Luke doing?

Matt and I were walking towards the small stage and he gripped my hand tightly. I chuckled. "Relax, this is gonna be awesome." I said with a smile and he smiled nervously. He took a deep breath before he let go of my hand and walked towards the stage, me following him.

"So, uh..." He began and I cut him off. "Bofore he's gonna tell you he sounds like a dying whale when he sings just to let you know, he doesn't. He's gonna sing tonight with me because I forced him to do it because he has an amazing voice." I cut him off. "So here we go." He shot me an uncertain but thankful look and we began playing.

The song went really good, not one fault. When we were done people applauded loudly and I gave Matt an I-told-you-so look. He smiled at me and stood up. "Now I'm gonna let Skyler do her work in peace." He joked into the mic and I smiled.
