39. The Interview

"Weeeee are the warriors, that built this toownnn!" We all jammed together while being packed into the car. Ashton was driving, Calum next to him. Behind them were Michael and Anna and Luke and I were at the back. The boys had an interview today and they would definitely be asked about me. Or Anna. So the boys thought it would be okay if we tagged along. And Anna and I wanted to. I mean, normally those interviewers were in skin tight leather dresses, but I guess it was important for me and Anna to be there. Calum is going to tell them I'm his girlfriend... And maybe Michael will tell them he's with Anna too. I don't know. "Didn't we have to be there at 2?" I yelled above everyone that was screaming to Ashton. He knew how late we had to be there. "Yes, we did." He said. "But we're like, 3 minutes away." He yelled back and I nodded. It was already 5 past 2, but whatever. When the boys are coming to an interview, you have to know they're always late. It's just a fact.

Like Ashton said, within 3 minutes we were in front of the building and walked inside. We were separated by the boys immediately and walked to the audience, where they reserved two seats in the front row for us. There were like... 30 people in the audience, so that wasn't much. Anna and I sat down and we heard a gasp behind us. "No fucking way." We heard someone whisper and I grinned. They probably recognized me from The Voice, or as being Calum's 'girlfriend'. Since that was trending. She took deep breaths to calm herself down, while Anna and I tried to hold back our laugh. We were still sitting with our backs to her and didn't know what she was doing. "Excuse me?" The girl tapped on my shoulder. I turned around with a grin. Her eyes widened. "Can I get a photo with you?" She whispered. "Why are you whispering?" I whispered back. "Well, I figured, if someone heard us talking they would want a photo too, and then all 30 people here would want a photo and I figured you didn't want that." She whispered. I was silent for a while, looking at her with my mouth open. "I wish everybody could be like that." Anna said from next to me and I nodded. "Yea, thanks." I said with a smile. I took her phone and took a couple of selfies with her. "I loved your audition by the way! And the other performances, you're an amazing singer." She said. "Thank you so much!" I said with a smile. "But I really ship you with Calum too. You two are adorable together." She said and I shrugged with a smile. "Believe me, you want to take a photo with her too." I said while pointing at Anna. Anna raised her brows. "Michael's gonna tell them anyways... If not now, very soon, so..." I said and Anna shrugged. "You're Michael's girlfriend?" She said while whisper yelling. Anna nodded awkwardly and I chuckled. "Well, pose." I said with a grin. I took a few photos with the two of them and gave the girl her phone back. "Thank you so so so much! Really." The girl said and we nodded. "It was nice to meet you." I said and Anna nodded. The lights dimmed a bit, indicating the interview would start any minute now.

"So, how about your tour. It just ended right?" The interviewer, in a mint blue summer dress and a black blazer, asked. She wasn't like I expected. Of course, huge heels on her feet, but sometimes I liked wearing them too. "Well, we've been home for a couple of months already, but the tour was great. Our support act, Hey Violet were really great people and we've met so many new people and we've seen new things, countries... It was amazing." Luke said and the girl nodded. "And I'm sure almost everything changes?" The girl said and the boys all nodded and hummed. "Was there anything constant on tour? Except for each other of course." She giggled. The boys laughed fake just to be polite and Anna snorted. They all thought for a moment. "Well, basically, everyday begins with Zop and ends with Zop." Michael said and Calum chuckled. "I wake up and I just see his face." Calum said. "He even has a whistle!" Ashton said. "And if he's real mad he blows the whistle." Ashton continued and I chuckled. "Who is Zop? Someone who comes along on tour?" The interviewer asked. "Zop is our tour manager. Yea, he's an awesome guy. Very professional." The boys all nodded in agreement. "But he also has a hint of mystery. No one actually knows his real name." Ashton said and the boys looked at him with a frown. "It's David." The rest of the boys said in unison and bursted out laughing. Anna was trying to hold back her laugh, just like me. Ashton just looked at the camera with a pout. "And, have you met any girls at the tour?" The interviewer asked and I rolled my eyes. "Well, basically 90% of our fans are girls, so..." Michael said and I chuckled. Exactly what I thought. "Ah, you know what I mean!" The interviewer asked and the boys shrugged. "Nah." Ashton said. "It all happened when we came home..." He mumbled. "Wow, what was that?" The girl asked and Ashton's head shot up. "Come on, we already know about the rumours with Skyler Mitchell hanging out with you guys, she's even here with you!" The girl said and the camera went into my direction. I tried to stay cool and did a small wave to the camera before it focused again on the boys. "Well?" The interviewer asked and Calum shot Luke a quick glance before turning to the interviewer. "She's my girlfriend." He said with a bright smile. The girl, just like the small audience gasped and a few wolf whistles were heard. I chuckled and shook my head. "How did this happen?" The girl asked and I tensed up. He better have a good story... "Well, we were friends at school, before we went touring. Then we couldn't see each other for like, 2 years. After our tour we met in a club somewhere here in Sydney, and it all went from there." He explained and the girl gave him a smug look. "Any more relationships we should know about?" All the boys turned to Michael. He almost choked on the sip of water he had in his mouth and looked at them questionably. "Michael, who's your girlfriend?" The girl sang. Very badly, must I add. His face heated up and all the boys were grinning. "Um... Anna." Michael said and looked at her and gave her a wink. Anna's cheeks heated up immediately and I chuckled at her reaction. "Ooh, is she here? Next to Skyler?" The camera focused on Anna and her eyes grew wide. "What the fuck do I do?" She hissed in my ear and I chuckled. "Just say hi or something." I said. "Em... Hi?" She squeaked and the boys chuckled. "So how did you two meet?" The girl asked. "Same story as Skyler and Calum actually. Except for the club part. We met again when we were hanging out with the other boys also. We actually dated before I went on tour, but we kinda had to... Break up." Michael said sadly. "But we're okay again?!" He tried to lift the mood. "Any more relationships we should know about? Ashton?" Ashton grinned and shook his head. "Luke? Met any girls at The Voice?" Just like Michael, he choked on his sip of water he just took and began coughing. I held my breath. "Gosh no. I mean, they're nice, but... Not like that. At all." He said and it somehow sounded believable. "It's like a really small world isn't it? Skyler being a contestant at The Voice and one of her boyfriend's best mates is a judge there..." She said and Luke nodded. "Yea. When I first saw her performing I hadn't seen her in over 2 years. We weren't really the best of friends back then, but now we're okay." Luke said and the girl nodded. She went along to blab about anything and nothing at all, something interviewers are good at. I sat back in my seat and relaxed. That went pretty smooth.
