The doctor sighed I himself as he saw the family grieving over their mom and soon-to-be younger sibling. Charlotte Kirk seemed like a nice woman that cared deeply for her family. He then rubbed his hand on Avi's shoulder, clearing his throat.

"You may see your wife if you want too."

Avi looked up, confused. Scott, Kirstin, and Mitch all stopped crying and let go of each other, sharing a look of shock. Kevin's not dead?!

"Charlotte is not my wife," Avi spoke up, shaking his head. The doctor then widened his eyes. "I'm gay. What's the matter with Kevin Olusola?"

"Oh, Kevin," the doctor replied, leading the family down a long hallway. They finally stopped in the E.R and the doctor grabbed a clipboard, flipping through it. "Well, it looks like to me that Kevin had many injuries. He is suffering from a major concussion, broke his arm, leg, multiple rips, and will be paralyzed for a couple months. Other than that, he will be able to go home in a couple weeks. He is still alive and well."

"Thank you, doctor," Avi replied happily as the doctor led them down to Kevin's room. He took a deep breath when the doctor opened the door and let out a light gasp. "Kev."

Kevin looked up, smiling softly. His kids ran to him and hugged him tightly, smiling when their attempted to hug them back. He then let them go and smiled even more when he saw Avi in front of him.

"Hey, babe," Kevin responded and looked down at his blanket. He then rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you still want a divorce?"

The answer he was received was a tender kiss to the cheek. He looked lovingly at Avi, who smiled happily at him.

"How is that for an answer?"

The Olusola family is back together and will never separate again...

Hopefully.

A month has passed since the car accident. Kevin continued to go back to psychical therapy. Kirstin and Scott finally went to sophomore and junior year, ready fir another school year to end. Mitch finally started seventh grade and was still homeschooled. He received singing lessons from Avi, even though he was too shy to show what he can do with that voice of his. That was about to change right now.

~~~
Mitch smiled excitedly when Light My Candle from Rent began to play. At twelve years old, his parents allowed him to watch Rent even though it was quite provocative at times. The musical itself was beautiful and Mitch absolutely loved Angel. He tried not to think of what the character faced later in the movie because it always broke his heart.
He went back to singing Mimi and Rodger's first duet together, letting himself sing all the notes the song had to offer. He sang them all perfectly, not once making his voice stutter.
Will you light my candle?
He sang out happily, moving around his room. He didn't notice his door open or even his bed being at on until he heard someone clapping. He quickly removed them and saw Scott clapping for him, making him blush and turn off his music instantly.
"W-wa-as I lo-oud-d?" Mitch asked shyly, making Scott shake his head. He let out a sigh of relief. "Am I g-go-od?"
"No," Scott replied, shaking his head. Mitch felt his heart break and looked down. He then looked up when Scott picked his head up. "You're amazing. I'm telling everyone!"
"Scott Ri-ich-ha-ard Ol-lu-so-la-a," Mitch yelled as Scott ran out of his room. Scott ran down the stairs, making Mitch run after him. "If you t-te-el-l a-an-yo-one-e, I'll k-ki-il-l you!"
Scott laughed as he jumped off the last step, running into the kitchen. He was about to open the door when he felt a small body jump on top of him.
"Mitchell," he yelled, trying to get his brother off of him, but he didn't budge. "Get off of me or I'll tickle you!"
Mitch shook his head and was instantly thrown into the couch. Scott then began to tickle him relentlessly, making his younger brother began to laugh. He tried to escape, but Scott refused to stop.
"What's the matter?" Kirstin asked as he walked into the living room. She stopped when he saw her brothers basically rough housing with each other. Well, actually more like Scott rough housing Mitch. "What's the matter?"
"Mitch has an amazing talent and he won't share it wi-ow! Mitch, that hurt," Scott yelled when Mitch slapped his arm. His younger brother finally escaped, breathing heavily. "Why don't you want her to know?"
"B-be-cau-se-e it's per-son-nal," Mitch answered, blushing. Kirstin and Scott shared a sad look. "What?"
"Why don't you want to show us?" Kirstin asked sadly, titling her head. Mitch shrugged his shoulders timidly. "Just try it. We won't judge you."
Mitch then sighed, feeling his chest tighten. She's got a point. Of course, it was to trust them because of the closet trick that happened when he was nine, but they've changed since then. He finally let out a breath and began to sing I'll Cover You, the reprise.
He sang ever note perfectly, making sure that his voice didn't waver. Of course, it was a bit hard to figure out what the notes were since he was already learning when to identify which key a song is in. He sang it perfectly though. He sang the last note on key, letting emotion invade his voice. He finally finished, looking at his siblings expectantly. Their eyes are wide of some emotion that he couldn't quite place. Oh, no. They're going to hate me.
"Mitch," Kirstin finally spoke, blinking her eyes. She stood up, her legs wobbly. "That...was amazing. Where did that voice come from?"
Mitch shrugged shyly as he looked down at the ground. Scott wiped his eyes, hoping that no one will catch him being emotional.
"Mitch," he began, catching his brother's attention. "You need to show your talent to the world. You deserve it."
Mitch mouthed thank you and went to the T.V. It showed that Spongebob was on and the siblings began to watch it, laughing hysterically at the funny show.
~~~

A man watched the siblings from the distance, rubbing his hands together. He is going to get Mitch, even if it is the last thing he does. He then ran off, laughing to himself. He was going to ruin this family once and for all.
