(WARNING: alcohol, bullying, drugs)
The first semester and most of the second semester of freshman year ended quickly, making Mitch thankful. Matthew didn't even pick on him that much. Sure, there was a few swirlies and a few moments were the bully tormented him, but everything was a-okay for the sweet boy.
If only he knew.

"The end of the year is almost here," Kirstin yelled excitedly, closing her locker. Just a couple more months and I will be going off to college! I'm so excited!"
Mitch laughed as he gathered his stuff. Sure, he is still shy, but managed to speak to people, even though he only spoke when spoken to. It was a big jump for the formally homeschooled child.
"Hey, Mitch."
Mitch's heart seemed to beat slow when he turned around, finding a tall boy in front of him. With blue eyes and perfectly combed and curly brunette hair, the boy in front of him is gorgeous.
"Hi, M-ma-ar-rk" Mitch replied shyly, responding to the sophomore. He wouldn't admit it, but he has been feeling weird around boys recently. Whenever he looked at them, his palms began to sweat and he got nervous. Mark Rodgers is the first boy he laid eyes on in choir and the older student was very nice to him. "H-ho-ow are you?"
"Awesome," the sophomore answered, putting his arm on a nearby locker. Kirstin widened her eyes and squealed excitedly. She knows what's going to happen. "There's a end-of-the year party at my friend's house and I was wondering if you want to go?"
Mitch was about to answer, but only opened his mouth. He tried to say something coherent, but nothing came out. Kirstin then smiled, answering for him.
"Of course," Kirstin replied, smiling. She put her arms around her brother's shoulder, not noticing how happy Mitch is. "Jeremy and I will be there too!"
She smiled as she thought about the boy who told her that Ariana was not worth it back in freshman year. They began to date back in their junior year and they will be attending the same college. Mark nodded as he smiled at the innocent and naïve freshman.
"Do you want me I pick you up at eight?" Mark asked, looking at Mitch. The younger boy nodded happily, making Mark laugh. "I'll see you then. Bye, Mitch."
Mitch waved absentmindedly, feeling his heart leap in joy. He couldn't find out why he was happy though. What is this feeling?
"You like him," Kirstin teased, winking playfully. She laughed when Mitch threw his jacket at her and got it back when she gave it back to her younger brother. "Troye and Mitchy, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-."
That was all she got out before Mitch threw his jacket at her once more.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Kevin asked nervously, looking at his youngest son examining himself in the mirror. Mitch nodded as brushed his hand through his hair, sighing at the scar. "Okay. If you want to go home, tell Kirst."
"I w-wi-ill-l," Mitch responded as he heard the doorbell ring. He opened it to see that Jeremy was on the other side. "H-he-ey-y, Jerm! Kirst's u-up-st-ta-tairs."
"Awesome," Jeremy responded, going inside when Mitch got out of his way. Mark them walked up, smiling at the freshman. "Hey, Mark! How goes it?"
