Mitch opened his eyes and noticed everyone looking. He looked down to see blood that wasn't his. He saw that it Carson's. He let out a breath as he saw Carson with a bullet hole on his head and looked up to see Alex holding a gun, breathing heavily. Scott then ran up to Mitch, hugging right away. The younger one tensed but hugged his older brother, crying quietly. Scott kissed his cheek softly, hugging him tighter.

"It's over, Mitch. It's all over," Scott reassured as he stood up, bringing Mitch up with him. They walked over Carson, wanting to leave immediately. "Let's go."

"Mitchy," Avi whispered as he went up to his son. Mitch waved to him as he cried, happy to see his dad. "Everything is over. You're okay."

And for the first time in thirteen years, Mitch finally felt happy again.

A month passed since Carson passed away. The family is back together and refuse to fall apart. Mitch had some tests done on him to make sure he was okay. He refused to let the doctors tell the results to his family, but everybody didn't care. They are just happy that he is okay.

Alex and Scott moved to a house that is a block away from the Olusolas. Scott is in the middle of writing his book while Alex owned his own art museum. They're having a child in about a month now that they adopted. Their child is a beautiful girl that came from a family that could no longer care for her so Alex and Scott took her in. The husbands are proud of their successes and hope to give their soon-to-be daughter everything she wants.

Ariana and Kirstin moved into a small apartment together. After her final semester, Kirstin decided to move back down to California to be closer to her family and Ariana. The couple is engaged and plan to marry after the first semester ended. They can't wait and want December to come faster.

Avi and Kevin became closer after the whole ordeal. They almost lost two of their children in terrible ways. The couple went through so much, but they refuse to fall apart. Their love grows stronger and better, even after what happened between them when Charlotte was in the picture. It turns out that she turned herself in and will serve quite a long time in jail, but she is the reason why Mitch was found and not in danger anymore. In a way, she saved Mitch.

Travis and Mitch got stronger too. Travis protected his boyfriend after everything that happened. Travis made sure to fight off the bad dreams and wiped away Mitch's tears. The couple realized how much they need each other. They refuse to separate.

"What in the world?!" Kirstin yelled one day, scaring her brothers. They all stared at her, wondering why she freaked out. She is on her phone and she quickly looked at Scott and Mitch, her eyes wide. "Mark, Matthew, and Nash got arrested!"

"What?!" Scott yelled, smiling. Mitch then smacked his arm and shook his head. "Ow! What the heck?!"

"Be n-ni-ic-ic-ce," Mitch demanded lightly. He then looked at Kirstin, interested in the story. "W-wh-ha-at-t h-ha-ap-pp-pe-en-ed?"

"They were accomplices in something," Kirstin replied, looking at Mitch. He nodded as he realized what that 'something' was. "Hey, Ari? I got to go. I'll talk to you later. Bye, Snowflake."

She hung up and sighed loudly, blowing a piece of blond hair out of her face. She then looked at Mitch, who looked very sad. She then walked up to him, hugging him tightly.

"How did they do that?" Scott asked quietly. The bullies that hurt Mitch in high school tried to get him killed? "Why would they ever do that? How did they even get in contact with them?"

"We'll never know," Kirstin answered quietly, kissing Mitch's forehead. He smiled when he felt his older sister's embrace warm him up. "It's over now. There is nothing to worry about now."

And Kirstin could not be anymore right.

Summer then came to a close and college started. Mitch woke up and got out of bed, smiling about the new day starting. He walked into the living room and smiled at his fathers who smiled back at them. He kissed their foreheads and walked into the kitchen, pouring himself some orange juice.

"Are you ready for college?" Kevin asked, smiling when Mitch nodded. "Your laptop is in your little office area. I hope you like it."

"I w-wi-il-il," Mitch replied, smiling happily. He then looked at Avi as he tilted his head. "A-ar-ar-re-e you o-ok-ka-ay-y?"

"Of course," Avi replied, even though he knew that wasn't the truth. He sighed heavily as he looked back at his son. "How about you start your classes? You need to get a fresh start so you could go to the music store."

Mitch nodded as he went to the office, happy about starting college. Avi looked at Kevin, not ready to share the news. He took a deep breath and began.

"Kevin, remember that kidney disease I had when the kids were younger?" Avi asked nervously, looking down at his lap. Kevin nodded and Avi sighed, afraid to share the news. "It came back. I need to go to dialysis everyday now. I can't be in charge of the store anymore. Mitch can, but he is still so shy. What do I do?"

"I don't know," Kevin responded quietly, still not accepting the fact that Avi has the disease again. "What did the doctor say if you didn't take it?"

Avi then looked up, wanting everything to be okay again. Why did he have to suffer through this again? What did he do? He knew that he felt weird after the day they found Mitch, he would have not expected that. He thought that we was okay, that nothing like that will happen again. He felt like he was lied to. He wants everything to go back to normal and be okay.

"Avi?" Kevin asked once more, catching his husband's attention. "What will happen if you don't have dialysis?"

Avi sighed as he grabbed his husband's hands and kisses them gently. He then looked into those big brown eyes he loves and told the truth.

"I die."
