Chapter 8

Roxie pov
"Ok. Father to daughter. I-I missed you dad. The real you."
"I know pumpkin. I missed you to. I hated yelling at you. You are my baby. B-but not exactly.."
I missed him calling me Pumpkin. It was my nickname, wait. 'Not exactly'?
"'Not exactly'?"
"Yeah, baby. I am not your biological father. Zane is"
Zane. The name sent a chill down my spine. That means Leona is my half sister and Garroth is my uncle.
"What?!"
"Years ago, after your mother and I got married, Zane came to us. He gave your mother a pendent."
Pendent, the same Leona was born in.
"He pricked his finger 'accidentally' and gave it to her. Then she pricked her finger. Then the pendent got warm and your mother felt ill. Zane laughed and disappeared in a cloud of black. I knew that you were in there. So did your mother. But I knew this pendent would some day bring trouble. I wanted to destroy my baby...but your mother saved you. She was attached. She loved you. It took awhile but you were brought into the world. We took the DNA test and I wasn't the father. I wasn't to upset. Zane never came back. Your mother felt terrible. So then the twins came. Then Lilly. As you know, we lost your mother when Lilly was born. I was heart broken."
Just then Laurence, Aphmau and Garroth walked in,
"Sorry. We wanted to check in" said Aphmau in her sweetest voice
"It is ok," he said with kindness "you might want to hear this."
He explained everything to them. Garroth looked at me when we found out he is my uncle. And Leona was my half sister. Ben, Clayton, Frankie and Lilly were also my half siblings. Wow. I was surrounded by family.
"So I was heart broken. I wanted to get rid of my pain. So I bought some drinks and before I knew it, I was hooked. And then we started to get into arguments. You know what happens Roxie."
A tear rolled down both of our faces. Laurence grabbed my hand. And Garroth grabbed my other hand. Aphmau took Garroth's free hand. We were family. We were in this together.
"After you disappeared, I was devastated. My baby was gone. I planed to shoot myself. But your brothers jumped in front of the three bullets. Killing them. They were older of corse. Lilly was five. They knew that I wanted to end my life. I lost more than half my family. Lilly was horrified. I dropped the gun and hugged her, knowing there is one person to still love me. I served a few months in jail. Lilly lived with Grandma for a while. Sorry to say, she is dead. Lilly became a 'bad girl'. She got a rep. So she dyed her long hair a lilac color and she wore black. She is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it is kinda weird to see my other baby do it."
I looked upstairs and I could hear Lilly snoring. Laurence squeezed my hand a little. A little 'I love you' signal. I returned the squeeze a little tighter. Garroth and Aphmau were blushing a little. Ohh! Romance is blossoming! I turned my attention back to dad. Well, Gabe. His real name.
"Should I call you Gabe?"
"I don't care, dad or Gabe. But anyway, Lilly just turned eighteen. I got her a new phone. Then Zane came and he brought us here. Were we say you for the first time in eighteen years. I am so sorry for what I have done..I am so sorry."
"It's ok Gabe. But it was only been a week and a half for us. That's why I look the same."
"Hmmmm. Ok. Well, kids, I am going to bed. Good night."
"Goodnight."
After Gabe went upstairs, I slumped in my chair.
"Are you ok?" Asked Garroth,
I tried to lighten the mood. "Yeah uncle Garroth."
There was a light chuckle from Garroth and Laurence. Aphamu and I giggled.
"Please don't call me that." Said Garroth.
"Alright. I think I will talk to Kiki in the morning."
"Night" said Aphmau
"Night Roxie" said Garroth
"Night, love." Laurence gave me a slight kiss in the cheek before I went downstairs. My room was down here. It was cool. I flopped into bed and I was unconscious in seconds.
