Chapter 27 I get to see her again

Time skip
It's been 2 weeks since Ellegard was welcomed into this world. She's growing up just fine. I told Laurence about her. She has his brown hair and my green eyes. She's so beautiful. I actually heard him cry. I chuckled when that happened. Now, I am back to myself. Levin likes to play with Ren. And Malachi tries to play with the younger ones. I train to fight. I already told Zoey and Lilly that I'm leaving once everything settled. And it's starting to settle. "You can't leave!" Said my sister. I look into her eyes and see the little girl I once knew. I smiled, "I'm not leaving for good. Trust me."
She hugged me tight. Zoey joined in the hug. She's grown close to me. But I really want to see Emmalyn. I was tempted to go see her, but I let that thought set aside when I looked down at my girl. Lilly have Ren a little plastic sword, "look mommy! I'm like daddy!" He shouted. I laughed, "you certainly are!"

Now it is late at night. Tonight I'm leaving. The boys are asleep. I have no intention to get killed in the battle. But I will beat the living hell out of Zane. I pack my bag, including a picture of Ren and Ellegard. I grab some more clothes and I put on my spare armor. I looked like what I had a few months ago. It must have been a hundred years in my old world. I put my sword in its silt and grabbed my things. Lilly is outside my room, her eyes are red from crying. Her cheeks puffy. "Lilly? Are you alright?"
"W-were you going to say goodbye?"
I sigh and give her a big hug, "I was."
"You come back safe. Not just for me, but for Laurence, Ren and Ellegard."
"I know. And I will."
I look into their room and see the kids sleeping. I kiss my kids forehead and smile, "I'll be back my loves."
It was the same thing my mom said when I was little and kissed me before she went somewhere. I smile at the memory. I grab a cloak that I'm borrowing from Zoey and put it on. There could be a battle going on so I put the hood up too. I walk out the door and I wander the forest for what seems like hours....

Laurence pov
I couldn't sleep so I decided to walk around the base. I can't stop thinking about Roxanne. My Roxie. Her smile. Her beautiful emerald eyes. Her hair. Her strawberry smell-- God, I'm so cheesy. I wandered into the forest, but not to far. I hear a rustle of leaves behind me. I grab my sword and hold it tight, awaiting an attack. Suddenly I feel someone knock the breath out of me. We tumble down the little hill and the person is on top of me. His or her sword pressed against my neck.
"Laurence!" The person gasp.
Wait a second. I'm so stupid
"Roxanne!" I shout. She takes off the hood of her cloak. She has that bright smile I missed so much. She throws her sword aside and hugs me tight. "What are you doing here?!" I ask hugging her back.
"I'm here to help!" She replied.
I got her to let go of me. I looked at her beautiful eyes. I gently pull her chin closer to me and I kiss her lightly. "You shouldn't have come. It's dangerous. What about Ellegard and Rennard?"
"Zoey and Lilly are with them."
"That's a lot to ask. Even for Zoey."
"It's ok, I promise," she wipes a tear, "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too" I kiss her a little harder. I missed the taste of her lips, always leaving you wanting more. I missed the little blush she has when I do kiss her. The sparkle in her eyes when we part.

I get to see her again.
