Roxie pov
I woke up to birds chirping right outside my window. Little Ren was in the same bed as me. How? When? I tucked him to bed after I talked to Laurence last night. Every boy in that room was fast asleep. I could hear Lilly in the other room, snoring. Zoey is downstairs making breakfast. I can hear Malichi shushing Levin in the living room. I smiled and ruffled my sons hair, which caused him the stir. He is so cute. I picked him up and he lay over my shoulder. "Time to wake up, kid." I say. "F-five more minutes." And he slumps over my shoulder again. I laugh and walk down the stairs. "Morning Roxie." Said Zoey. "Sleep well?"
"Yeah. I did surprisingly."
Ren started to stir again, "mom did not sleep well last night."
I looked at Zoey, confused. She shrugs and nods. I turn to the other boys for support. They only nod. I am so confused. Lolly comes down stairs. "Roxie....you kept me up last night...are you ok?" She asked. Lilly doesn't know about my new baby. I am so confused. I turned to my son, "what happened last night?"
"You don't know? Well, last night, around midnight, you started screaming and kicks in your bed. Zoey thought it was a bad dream, but you kept going. It kept us up. Then I went into your room and hugged you. You said dads name. Then stopped. Every Time I tried to leave, you shouted 'don't go' so I stayed with you."
"I am sorry I kept you guys up, but I don't know what you guys are talking about." I have to keep my secret of talking to Laurence a secret.

Laurence's pov
I woke up to the sound of a cannon. I can't believe it. I am going to be a dad. And he or she is miles away. and I can't be there. Garroth came running towards me, full armor. "Come on dude! Their attacking again. You look.....sick..are you ok?"
"Yeah, fine. Just some news.."
"News? You have an amulet, do you? Have you been talking to my niece?"
"Yeah. I have," I leaned closer so I am talking a whisper in his ear, "she is pregnant. With my child."
"Congrats, but we need to win this war. For that baby and for the rest of the people who have ever been hurt by Zane and O'kasis."
I smiled devilishly and grabbed my sword. I channeled my anger to become a shadow knight. I thought of not being there for my son, for my new child, my wife. That I might die on the battle field with my fallen soldiers who never made it back to their family. How I lied to Roxie to calm her. We have lost a 100 soldiers while O'kasis and Zane has only lost 10. They have shadow Knights, powerful guards and above all, Zane. I closed and opened my eyes and felt my eyes go red. I never use this power unless I have to. I saw my red eyes in the mirror. My armor is red. I turn toward the battle cry and let one out myself. I charged.

I walked outside for some fresh air. I need to tell Ren. Today. "Mom! Mom!" He came up behind me. "Yes dear."
"I need to tell you something!"
I sighed, "so do I Ren."
His smile faded, "is dad ok?"
"He's fine. But..." I kneeled down, so I was his height. "Your going to be a big brother." I smiled as bright as I good, but the tears came up a little.  Rennard's eyes swelled with tears. "N-no! N-no! Please tell me your joking!"
"I wish o could Ren, I truly do, but it's true.
He backed away slowly. My hand was no longer on his shoulder. I can tell he was whimpering. He backed up some more and ran. "Rennard!" I shouted. He kept running. Zoey came out, "oh no." I ran towards the direction he went in. Zoey quickly followed. She knew that the boys would be ok. "Ren! Come here!" I called. I saw little foot prints in the dirt road, they turned left. Then, I saw him. Ingo. He held my son limp in his arm. There was some blood from his nose. My heart stopped. My brain went blank. I could feel the color drain from my face. "Tell me, daughter of Irene, how did you survive?" Ingo asked, looking like a devil. "I am no daughter of Irene. My mother died years ago."
I heard footsteps behind me, Lilly. "Ah! And there's the other one. Well, you both surrender yourselves and I let your son go." He smiled. I looked at Lilly and she had fear in her eyes. Then her eyes went....white. Pure white. "Your eyes." I said.
"Your too." My eyes. White? I felt a spark from my hand and saw fire. It didn't burn, but I wanted to scream. Lilly's hands had water. We both turned to Ingo and he looked petrified. I lifted my hand with the fire and let it go, right towards Ingo.
