q&a time people! thanks to all of you that participated
Q; What gave you the inspiration to write this book?
A; Well if you read the section titled #NoMoreBullying you know a little bit about why the campaign is important to me. I guess I just wanted to show my support. I was bored one night and I ended up planning out half the book.
Q; How do you pronounce Danika?
A; Haha I've actually had a few different people ask me this. It's pronounced Dan-ick-uh, but you're the reader so I guess it's up to you
Q; Do you ship Wanika (Will and Danika)?
A; Even though I didn't make it happen, I do kind of ship it...
Q; How would you describe your writing style?
A; I think I have a kind of descriptive writing style. I also tend to use commas in my speech tags with a following adjective. I don't really know.
Q; Who's your favorite character in this book?
A; Hm. That's a hard one. I love them all (obviously), but I think if I had to pick a favorite it would be Will. He's just so awkward and adorable.
Q; Who's your least favorite character?
A; Amy. Amy all the way. She's a minor character but she's a bully and I extremely dislike people like her.
Q; What is life?
A; Yes, someone actually asked me this. I'm not really a philosopher or anything so I can't help that much but if you want a literal answer here's the dictionary definition: the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.
Q; Why did you choose to end the book the way that you did?
A; Well, I don't directly say how the book ended in the first place. It's up to the reader to interpret the ending however they want it to go. Although I believe I wrote it in a way that you would see how I intended it to end. (I'm being extremely vague right now to avoid spoilers just in case anyone skips ahead to the Q&A)
Q; Will there be a sequel?
A; I've actually been thinking about this for awhile. One of my friends reading this book really wants a sequel. I'm not sure how I would want to write it or whose POV it would be in. If you have any suggestions, send me a message.
Q; What are you working on now?
A; I've recently started planning a new story. I'm not that far along in the process and I'm not sure if I even want to do it yet, but I'll notify you guys when or if I do. Definitely expect more writing from me and if you want to be told when it becomes available, just follow this account. ( @Kristen___ )
okay, so that's it for now. i'm going to keep updating this part when i get new questions so you guys can keep submitting those if you have anything else you want to ask. have a nice day (:
