"So... He's been here this whole time.." The female cat said to herself. She walked in the middle of the street, staring at such a massive sight. Half a mile in front of her, was The Defenders Tower. The tallest structure in the city. Her hands were crossed, as she stopped to stare at it.

She saw the strange design of the tower, completely ignoring the thick physique to the HQ. She continued to walk, up until the point where she reached the huge entrance at the front of the tower. She knocked on the large steel door, and waited.

She immediately saw the security camera turn to look at her, with a red laser dot, proving it was on and recording. "Silver! I know you're in there!" She yelled innocently at the tower. But the camera didn't move, and the door didn't even flinch.

"Silver I haven't seen you in months! Please!" She begged. Still no answer. Her face immediately sank. As did her heart. "Silver! Open the door! I miss you!! No one has even heard a word from you for months! You have to talk to someone!" She then beat on the door as she yelled. More silence just fell.

"Fine.. You wanna play hardball.." She then said aggressively to herself. She took a couple steps back, and leaned forward a little bit. She held her palms forward, and focused hard. As she did so, her hands and eyes began to heat up, with a fiery blaze.

She built up enough energy, to the point where she formed balls of fire in the palms of her hands. "Open... SESAME!!" She yelled, as she shot those fireballs out of her palms. They impacted hard on the door, causing it to fly back into the building. She put her hands down, and let the flames die out.

"There we go." She smirked to herself. She then walked inside the building, walking passed the 10 ft door. "Silver..?" Her question echoed in the Dark and lifeless hallway. "Damn this place is huge.." She said as she looked around the dark floor.

She saw the end of the hallway, which led to a large elevator. She looked at it with shock, as she pressed the up button with an "^" arrow on it. The door slid up through the archway, with a row of lights shining in the elevator. It was large enough to hold around 8 people comfortably.

The loud clank of gears grinding made her jump. It then began its ascend to another random floor of the tower. On the buttons, she saw floors that went from "BASEMENT" to "LANDING PAD/ ROOF".

The elevator cart came to a heavy stop, with the next archway door sliding open. "Silver..?" She questioned again. "Silver damn it I know you're in this tower!" She then shouted. As she was about to yell again, she then heard a deep and sad sigh. Like the sound of someone giving up.

"*sigh* 18th level.." She then heard a depressed like voice. Her eyes popped open at the sound of his voice.  She quickly went back to the elevator, and let it close again. She pressed the 18 Floor button, and let it carry her up a few more levels.

She waited for it to jerk again, then let go of the bar on the side of the cart. But as she waited for the door to open up, she realized something different. The slide up door looked like someone beat it in. Like it was forced in. "Silver! Where are you!" She then worried.

No answer. Furious, she was about to scream his name. She thought he was beginning to mess with her. But, she saw a flashing light coming from an open doorway. It looked almost like it was a blinking flashlight. She easily crept up to the door, nervous.

She wanted to peak inside, to see if he was in there. But for some reason she was nervous. Was it maybe because she hasn't seen him in so long? Or that she was afraid he'd injured himself? But, not even her nerves could stop her from looking inside. She quickly turned the corner of the doorway, and looked ahead at the painful sight.

All she saw, were what seemed like dozens of monitor screens, some controls and motherboards, the windows blinded out... And a pivoting work chair. With, a white headed hedgehog sitting inside it. "S-Silver...?" She said slowly, in shock.

He didn't even turn around, he just kept facing the bright monitors. Each of them had some different kind of footage on them, with a few of them buzzing black and white. She ran up to the chair, nearly tripping over the things in the messy room.

She got beside him, and held on to the console and the top of the chair. She then looked at him, full of fear. He looked like he was just found off the streets. His fur stunk and was filthy. His eyes were partially open, with black and red ring around them, circling even  the bags under his eyes.

"Oh.. My.. God..." She put her hands over her mouth. He slowly turned his head to face her, with all of his head quills out of place and messy. She instantly wrapped her arms around his neck, and hugged him tightly. She pulled off of him, and looked into his shady eyes.

"All this time... You've secluded yourself in here... Alone.." She felt pained to see him in such a manor. He just nodded in silence. "Silver.. Why won't you come home. Sure we haven't moved in together but... I need you now more than ever.." She begged.

But, he finally reacted. He stood up, and went to the other wall, and placed his palms on the console as he bowed his head. "Everyone... Has a lowest point in there life.. Rather it's death, or cruel doings in their life. Months ago.. I finally hit mine." She heard Silver quietly talk.

"Silver you didn't do anything wrong! There was nothing you could have done!" Blaze tried to defend him. "I could have shielded them. I could have covered the bomb with a PK shield. I could have jumped on the bomb to cover it. Blaze there are a million things I could have done... To save all those people..

"But I was too late.. I was too late." He bashed the side of his fist on the control panel. Blaze fell silent, not knowing what to say. "This wasn't just my lowest point, this was my fall. My legacy! I threw him by the school! I detonated the bomb!.. I killed those people.." He turned around and said loudly.

"... Silver... Do you remember what Tikal said before she died.." Blaze then sighed. He looked at her strangely with big eyes. "Sometimes when we fall... We must learn to pick ourselves up." She recited the dead echidna's words.
Silver lowered his eye lids, as he gazed off at another screen.

"And sometimes it's too late.." He said deeply, with a darker look on his face. She stared at him with shock. It wasn't like Silver to think negative, or speak like that. "I didn't just fall Blaze... I got destroyed." Silver then calmed down.

"And you can be rebuilt... But Silver I can't do this without you! You know what I'm going through right now!.. I need you!... And you need me." She said softly. He sighed deeply, and walked up to her. He looked down at her and saw the sad look on her face.

"I don't know if I'll ever be the father our kid is gonna need... But it won't stop me from trying..." He said, then easily rubbed her partially flat stomach. "So... You'll come back..?" She said with a hopeful look. "Soon. There are still things I need to take care of." He said, with a slight smile.

"Promise..?"

"Promise."
