"Nicole! For the tenth time, there was nothing I could do!" Sally shouted. "You left me for enemy Intel! They could have hacked me and known every dirty secret you had!" Nicole yelled back in frustration. "Our fortress was being overrun!! If I would have went back for you, then I, along with Sonic and baby Tails would have been dead!" She argued back.

"Sonic had Tails on his arms!! You had a handgun and a wounded shoulder! There is no excuse!" Nicole said back.

"Why the hell are you being so selfish!! I programmed you better than this!! I would never have argued with you, if you didn't save me for a reason!!"

"...Sally... I'm not angry because you left me in the hands of Robotnik. I'm indifferent because you nearly got the Freedom Fighters killed. Every last one of us. They could have hacked my brain circuits to know of your whereabouts! THEN... They would have tortured you... Like they did to me.."

"I am sorry Nicole. I truly am. I have made mistakes... And believe me I regret every one of them. Like leaving you. That was my biggest fault... But I just wish you could understand what we were going through at the time.." Sally sighed.

Then, she heard Nicole sniff. "Nicole..?" She questioned. She looked back at her, and saw a small tear slide down her cheek. Even being an AI, she still had organic emotions. And false organs. "D-do you even know what they did to m-me in there..." She began to sob.

Sally just stared at her in pure pain. "THEY VIOLATED ME!!!... They violated m-me.." She began crying even harder. Sally's eyes grew twice in size, hearing the shocking news. "Every single one of them! They stripped me and held me down like BRUTES!!!" She sobbed loudly.

"Oh my god.." Sally put her hands over her mouth. "I still have scars and bruises.. From their abusive torment.." She wiped her eyes. "Nicole... I had no idea.." She said in grief. "But it didn't stop there... Do you even know what I did to be rid of those savage bastards..?

I killed them! Slaughtered them like pigs! My psyche couldn't take it anymore!! I even... Casterated some of them..." She said more sternly. "You did what you had to, Nicole. Don't blame yourself for any of that. I would have done the same.." She tried to understand the poor Lynx.

And now being grumpy, Nicole began to hear the beeping they both ignored for minutes. "WILL SOMEONE SHUT THAT DAMN THING OFF!!" She screamed and yelled at the large computer monitor. Then, they both fell silent.

"That's the security system!" Sally then said in shock. They both looked at each other, then at the main large screen. All it showed, was the footage from security camera 005. For the first few seconds it showed nothing but the usual trees and rocks. That was, until Nicole fast forward a few seconds.

Finally, it showed a figure for a brief second. It was pointing a gun straight at the lens. Then, it fired. The loud bang made both girls jump real fast as they blinked. "Oh shit. They're in the building!" Sally said fearfully. "Who are!?" Nicole questioned nervously.
Then, they heard a hammer on a pistol get pulled back.

"Sally." They then heard a familiar voice. She slowly turned around, aware of the shooter behind her. Then, she saw the grey-quilled hedgehog with the armored suit on. "Please don't do anything... I don't want to have to pull this trigger.." He said with a determined, but crushed look.

"Whoa... Who's this hunk?" Nicole said with a slight grin. "Silver... Please. You don't have to do this." Sally said with a sad expression. "That's where you're wrong, Sally... For the sake of our safety, I have to take you, and everyone else in." He said, trying to hold all of his emotions back.

"Silver! Please! I know you think
This is all your fault! And I know you think this government is right... But our society would bet to differ! And I know deep down you don't want to do this.." Sally said, faintly. Silver slightly lowered the pistol.

"No... But you are right about one thing. I don't want to take you in. Any of you. But... I have to." He said, painfully. As he clicked back the hammer with his thumb, it made him drop a tear from his eye. "Even if it's by force.." He wiped the tear away.

But before anyone replied, the loud security alarms rang in their ears, making them all jump. "More intruders!" Nicole yelled, and turned to look at the screen. On one of the monitors, showed the live security footage of a suited figure, running down the hallway with a rifle.

"So you brought everyone..." Sally asked, now nearly heartbroken. "Like I said... Even by force." He said, then pointed the gun back at her. "Hands above your head. You too, AI." Silver told the two. "Not today, dream boy!" Nicole yelled.

Nicole then dashed at Silver with great speed. She threw a punch at his jaw, but he blocked it and threw her into the wall. As they fight, no one noticed Sally run and escape. Silver then pinned Nicole against the wall. She grabbed his shoulders and slung him back into the wall. He then tried to kick her off of him, but she knocked his leg away with her knee, then kneed him in the balls. As he fumbled over in pain, he dropped the pistol. Nicole picked up the pistol, and whipped him in the side of the face with it. He slung towards the floor, with her turning it back the right way.

She then pointed it back at him, then had a different thought. She lowered it back to his lower stomach/groin. "Try anything, and we find out if you're wearing a cup." She grinned. "I think
We already figured that out." He said  thinking fast. Silver then kicked Nicole's legs out from underneath her. As she fell, she pulled the trigger. "AAHH!!" Silver yelled in pain, and grabbed his shoulder. The bullet went straight through it.

He slowly stood up, then grabbed the pistol. He identified his target, and immediately began firing at Nicole. Being very agile, she quickly jumped and dodged the shots. As soon as his pistol clocked out of ammo, he felt a blunt object hit him, and throw him to the ground again.

He looked through his blurry vision, and saw Shadow, Sonic and Manic standing there. And none of them looked happy to see him. "That's enough, Silver." Sonic said angrily. "Oh is it now..." He heard a deeper voice. Then, he saw something fast fly out and hit Sonic in the back.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" He screams in pain, as he was immediately electrified. He fell to the floor, out cold. At the other end of the taser, was Knuckles in full armor with his helmet on. "Don't take it personally... Just doing what we have to." He said through his speaker, then held up a sidearm with his other hand.

As they turned their attention to Knuckles, Silver kept his eyes locked on Nicole. He saw her limping to the control panel, and knew has to do something. So he grabbed her foot as she went by, and slammed her straight into the ground. "You're coming in!! Even if I have to drag you!" Silver gritted his teeth.

He flicked his wrist, letting an extended blade fly out. He then jabbed his wrist straight into her calf. Not all the way, but enough to stop her. "AAHHHHH!!!" She helped in pain. As she stopped and felt the warm blood spill out, more frequent footsteps were heard coming down the hallway.

Three more Defenders showed up, having their sidearms drawn. "So... This is how it is.." Shadow sighed. He then put his arms in the air. "You're... Surrendering?! What the hell Shadow!" Sonic yelled.  "Admit it Sonic.. They've got us. We're cornered." Manic said darkly.

Silver looked at them in shock, and sighed deeply. He then stood up, with his hand still on his shoulder. "Shade, cuff em." Silver ordered. She walked up to each of them, and put stasis-cuffs around theirs wrists. "Rouge, go find Tails and Sally. Please be easy." Silver said. She nodded, then flew down the hallway.

"As for these three, let's get them to the dropship. We ship out to the UN at dawn tomorrow. Until then, we'll keep them at Defenders HQ." Silver said softly with a blank expression. He saw nothing but the look of hate and betrayal from each of their eyes.

He stared them straight in the eyes, then let his helmet retract back around his head. "Alright Defenders... Ship out."
