Sonic the Hedgehog: Civil War

Our Inner Demons..

"Cmon guys... You know what I'm getting at... Join us.." Silver then reached his hand out towards the group of "friends". They all looked around at each other, hoping no one was serious about taking his side. Then, they saw Rouge walk up there. Then Vector. Then Shade.

"All of you... You're all traders!" Manic yelled angrily. "Well then... Is this all?" The man in the jury desk said. The negativity rose as he spoke. "I'm sorry Sonic, Shadow... But this is my choice now. My place in society." Silver sighed, then looked around at his side of friends.

"After all these years... You decide to side with what we wanted to end." Sonic said, destroyed on the inside. "If you aren't with me...

Then you are my enemy.." Silver then said darkly. All of the people on Sonic's side looked at him with the same large eyes. "I think that just about settles it... Agents... Arrest them." The man up top said. The secret service men then swarmed in on them with their pull out hand guns.

They all then put their hands in the air. Sonic then turned his head to Silver. "Please Silver... Don't do this.." He begged on last time. "Hands up freaks!" One shouted to the group. Sonic and Shadow made eye contact, then nodded. "Defenders, disperse!" Shadow and Sonic both yelled.

The group of five quickly put their hands to their faces, and began spreading out, attacking the horde. Sonic grabbed one man's wrists, and pushed them up to the air as he pulled the trigger. He then kneed him in the jaw and spun him to the ground.

One fired a shot at Shadow, as he tripped the agent and knocked him out with a cold blow to the face. Manic headbutted another in the nose, breaking it on contact. He held his bloody nose as Manic side kicked him to the ground.

"This isn't looking good... Defenders! Take them down!" The official man then yelled at Silver's side of pals. Each of them gave each other hurt looks. "Don't just stand there! Take. Them. Down!" He then got angrier. Silver looked at Knuckles with a destroyed look, then Vector.

"Boss's orders.." They then heard Rouge say. Silver took a deep sigh, then looked up from the ground. In his eyes... We're nothing but pure hate. The red around his eye balls expressed his emotion toward the situation. "Defenders... Attack." He then said deeply.

On both sides of him, he felt swishes of air pass by him swiftly. All of his new teammates dashed from his side, to join the fight. Before he were to engage, he just watched. The one day he never thought would come. Ally vs ally. Friend vs friend.... Brother vs brother.

As he watched his team take over, he then ran up, and joined in. His heart did have a sudden jolt when he watched Shadow and Vector make contact, still destroyed by what has happened to their bonds. He watched Manic try to jab Knuckles in the jaw, then intervened.

He flew forward in the air, and fly kicked him in the side, throwing him into the wall. Vector grabbed Shadow by the top quills, then threw him straight into the air. As he came down, Shade body slammed him hard on the tilled floor.

Tails quickly kicked over one of the tables, to evade bullet fire. Tails and Sally both hid behind it as the fight raged on. "There is no way out of this! What do we do?!" Tails asked in fear. Sally was so freaked out, she didn't even know what to do.

"Behind the tables! Get them!" Silver ordered. Vector and Knuckles then both headed straight for the flipped tables in the destroyed room. As Sonic looked over his shoulder, he saw the two monsters head straight for his fiancé and soon to be nephew.

"NOO! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!" He yelled in anger. He finished taking Shade to the ground, then headed straight for them two raging animals. With his super speed, he stopped right in front of the table, guarding it from the two brutes.

"TRUCK HIM!" Vector yelled with a grin. The crocodile and the echidna both picked up their speed. As Vector's forearm met with Sonic, he caught the giant arm with both hands. "Y-you traders don't u-understand what you're d-doing!!" Sonic yelled weakly at the two.

As he was blocking the reptile, he lost his attention to Knuckles. He then rammed his shoulder into Sonic, knocking him hard to the isle of courtroom chairs. "Sorry Sonic... We're still friends, right?" Knuckles tried to say friendly, but was so full of adrenaline.

Sonic wiped the blood off his scrapped shoulder, and looked at him. "Depends how much you can take a hit!" He said, then quickly bolted at the red echidna. He threw a solid punch to Knuckles' face, as he ran by. He then dashed at Silver, who just hit Manic in the back with a chair with his powers.

He stopped Silver from knocking Manic clean out, by tackling him hard into the wall. He then pinned him there by the neck. "Listen to me Silver.. Stop this bullshit! This isn't you!!" Sonic preached to him. "No Sonic, it's not you... To leave your blind spot open!" Silver yelled, then knees Sonic in the sternum.

He then whipped Sonic straight to the floor. As he rolled over, he watched Silver try and stomp on him. He rolled to his left, avoiding the blow. As he did so, he grabbed Silver's leg and pulled it out from underneath him. Silver user his PK to catch his fall, but it didn't do much.

Sonic then spindashed at Silver as hit him in the face. Silver slid on the ground, and hit his back against the far wall. Blood drained from his mouth as he slowly looked up. He wiped part of it with his finger, then looked at it.

"So then... I guess we've begun." Silver said, then flew right at Sonic. Right as he was about to make contact with his face, more agents swarmed the room with rifles. "HOLD YOUR FIRE DAMN IT!!" Shade yelled, then hit the floor as bullets flew in the air.

Silver and Sonic then both fell to the ground, to avoid the flying rounds. Shadow kicked an agent into another, then hid behind the same table as Tails and Sally. "There's no way we're staying here! We have to go! NOW!" Sally yelled at Shadow. He looked at her then gazed back at the big doorway.

"When I say run, you get to the court isles." Shadow then ordered. "Wait, what?!" Sally questioned in shock. "RUN!!" Shadow then yelled. And without hesitation, the two ran through the firefight to avoid their almost certain death.

As they did, Shadow stood up and pressed his hands against the flipped over table. He then ran with all his muscle, and pushed the table towards the doorway. It knocked down every agent in the way, clearing a path out.

"DEFENDERS!!! RETREAT!!" Shadow then yelled. All of his teammates looked over their cover from fire, and saw Shadow. They watched as an Agent tried to stab him with a combat knife, but he quickly spawned a Chaos Spear and threw it straight it his chest.

Silver looked up, and saw them running away. But, he didn't do anything. He didn't want to kill them, after all... They were still his friends. He saw one man crouch down, aiming his rifle at Sonic's head as he ran with Sally and Tails.

Something inside of Silver snapped. He didn't know what, he just knew this is what he had to do. Right before the agent pulled the trigger, Silver jumped up in the air. "NO!!" He then yells. As he did so, he jumped on the shooter, making him shoot straight into the air.

Sonic heard the gunshot, then turned around. He saw Silver land on top of the guard, looking Sonic dead in the eyes. "Goodbye.. Silv.." He said, before bolting out of the courtroom with his super speed.
