"Let go of me you mother fuckers!!" A female voice screamed down the strange hallway. Sally and Sonic were getting pulled by their arms to a secret location in the capital building. The room was filled with government agents and workers.

They were then dragged to a big table that could fit 10 people. As they were forcefully sat down in their seats, they looked forward at the people in suits ahead. "What the hell is going on!!" Sonic yelled in anger. "Sonic the Hedgehog of The Defenders. It is a pleasure to meet you." One said calmly.

"Shut up!! What are you doing with us!!" He yelled in rage once more. "Mr. Hedgehog, this is a sealed government council room, hidden deep under our country's capital building. For now there are things you don't understand. But in time, you will." A lady spoke.

Sally was gonna start dropping more F bombs, but was cut off by more yelling. In shock, Sonic and Sally both quickly turned around. They saw Silver, Shade and Tails get dragged in. "You ignorant shithead! You better hope I don't get free!!" Shade yelled.

"Guys!" Sonic yelled to them. "Sonic?!" They all said in shock. "More of your friends are arriving now. Don't worry, none of them are harmed." One man said, as he walked up to the higher up table, taller than anyone in the room. He sat in the middle seat, meaning he had most of the control.

"Listen here, big boy! If you don't let us out of here, we're gonna-

"So you're Sonic... I read your file. I'm very impressed with your contribution to your team." He said, then signaled another secret service fox over towards him. The fox handed him multiple manilla folders, then went back to his spot by the door.

"Let's see... Defeating Eggman from taking over the planet... Killing Lien-Da before her assassination on the President.. Oh! And stopping a killer alien race from glassing Mobius! You and your team are very successful Mr. Hedgehog." The man said politely.

"Listen, sir... I don't know why we're all here. And I don't know what this is about, but one thing I do know... Is you don't wanna piss her off." He then gazed at Sally. The man turned to look at her. She looked as if fire was about to blow from her eyes and ears.

"This way, Metahumans." They then heard another deep voice. They saw shadows coming down the same hallway they did. Then, they saw the last of their friends arrive. They were Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Manic and Vector. They struggled to get free but failed as they were sat down at the tables as well.

"Good. Everyone is here." The man said with a gentle smile. "Wait..? We're the only ones here?! Where the hell are the congress! The cabinet! The president! There's no way you have authorization for this without any of them!" Rouge said angrily.

"Actually, I have full authorization. It was decided by the president's cabinet within weeks of the..

"Incident?" Shadow questioned. The man looked at them all like he was bothered, then sighed deeply. "Defenders... You are all here because of the tragedy that took place in Mobiotropolis.

5 months ago, you Metalhumans, AKA The Defenders, were involved in an engagement of enemy that resulted in an accident, that killed nearly 3,000 men, women and children. It was a casualty that changed your city as a whole. What can you tell me about this?" He then asked.

Immediately, the horrifying images shot back in Silver's head. His eyes twitched, his ears fell down, and his body shook at the thought of that day. "Hmm... I can tell by the gray one that it was quite an impact on your team as a whole." He then gathered.

"What the hell! Silver just got his sanity back and now look at him!" Shadow yelled.

"Good. Then, this proves my point." "What point could you possibly have asshole!" Shade yelled, as she put her arms around the freaking out hedgehog.

".. The Metahumans Registration Act is now in control."

Every team member gasped, with giant eyes. "As of now, you super-powered beings belong to the United Mobian Government." He finally said. "BULLSHIT!!" Sonic stood up and yelled angrily. "You all now work for the government. Welcome to your new job." He said calmly.

"ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT!! YOU CAN'T JUST BARGE IN AND KIDNAP US THEN EXPECT US TO JUST WORK FOR YOU IGNORANT MOTHER FUCKERS!!!" Sonic yelled as loud as he could, while he flipped the table. "I'm afraid it's not up to you." The man said, then leaned back.

"GUN and The Defenders will never Cooperate with such crap! You're in over your head pal!" Sally shouted.

"Let me just shorten this down for ya.." The man said, losing his patience. "You're either with the people of our country...

Or against us.." He said darkly. Everyone looked around, with the same distraught face. But as they looked, they saw Silver stand up. The room then went quiet. Silver walked up, and stopped right beside the jury like desk, where the man sat.

"Silv... What are you doing..?" Sonic asked in a sad like tone. Silver looked up for the ground, with red eyes. The entire situation just killed him. "Sonic... He's right." He said. All of their friends gasped loudly.

"Silver you can't be serious right now.." Tails said in the same tone as Sonic. "Guys... They're right! Look what we've done! We destroyed half a fucking city for gods sakes! And for what? A robot that nearly tore us all apart?" Silver pointed out.

"We did it to save the people, Silver!" Sonic countered. "And look what good it did us! We killed innocent children!" He argued back. "And a hell of a lot more would have died unless we stopped that thing like we did!" Sonic stood up and continued to shout.

"Sonic you just don't get it! This way, we're doing a better thing for our people! We can keep them safe! Sure the government is under control, but without this.. more people will just get killed..."

Then, they heard more footsteps in the room. They looked over, and saw Knuckles walk up and join Silver by his side. "Knuckles... Not you too.." Shadow said depressingly. "Shadow... I lost Tikal to the injustice we live in today...That cannot happen again..." He sighed.

"I can't believe this... You two are doing exactly what we wanted to end... Dictatorship." Shadow said. "Is it? Is this Dictatorship? Or is this the Act that will actually save more people than kill...?" Silver said, starting to get angry.

"Do you even realize what you're saying?! You sound like a terrorist!!" Sonic finally yelled again. "I AM TRYING TO PREVENT MORE CHILDREN FROM DYING SONIC!!!" Silver finally yelled as loud as he could. Sonic grew silent, and stared at him.

"My own brother... Siding with power... Instead of Justice.." He said in a quiet tone. "If this is what you call Justice... Then I don't see why we even started The Defenders. You. Me. And Shadow.." He said.

"Shadow... Join us. We can finally help the people.." Silver tried to persuade. "This road you're traveling... I cannot follow." He spoke. Silver sighed in disappointment. "Well if you are not with me...
