2 YEARS LATER......

Vanessa's POV

It's been awhile since I have been back home but I have kept my promise on keeping in touch with my family. I'm driving through town because before I go home there is one stop I need to make first, I drive out to the cemetery stop my car get out and walk over to Mel's grave and have a seat in the grass. I start talking to her and telling her how things have been going and how I have been doing. "I'm having boy problems I wish you were here to help me because I don't know what to do there is one of them I think you would really like, but he really isn't my type though but I just can't get him off of my mind."

I hear footsteps approaching me I stand up and see my dad walking over to me. "I thought I would find you here I got worried when you didn't show up on time." I look over at the stone in front of us, "I had to come see her, I needed some girl time."
"I hope you have something nicer than that in one of your bags we are having a big dinner at home tonight." I look down at my shirt and jeans "What's wrong with this?"
"Your mom is cooking a nice dinner and some of our friends will be there and you should look nice." I search my dad's face trying to see if I can see why he is being so vague and mysterious. "Who are these friends and do I know them?"
"One of them is just a friend who I have known for a long time and he happens to be single." with that he starts walking back to his car I look back at the stone, "Did any of that seem kind of weird to you?" I know she would give me no answer but I have a feeling she would agree with me that he was acting strange. When I get home I start looking through my bags, I end up taking everything out and finally when it looks like a small tornado has hit my bedroom I settle on a black dress with thin spaghetti straps that ends just above my knees. I grab a pair of dressy shoes and slide them on my feet. As I make my way downstairs there is a knock on the door.

I hear my mom yell from the kitchen "Vanessa can you get that?" I walk over and open the door and there standing in front of me is a slightly older and buffer Zak Bagans and behind him is the rest of his crew. He looks down at me "Vanessa?" I quickly lick my lips in an attempt to moisten them, "Zak." My dad walks up behind me and puts his hand on my shoulder "Zak, boys we're glad you could make it tonight." It all comes together in my head my dad was trying to get me and Zak together."

Oh boy.. This was weird, The first thought that I had as I realized this was... Kevin..
