Vanessa's POV

I sat in the hospital beside Kevin's bed.... He, was unconscious. He never woke up.. He was still in the tux he was wearing.... I remembered the last time he wore a tux like that.. When Backstreet had this charity prom thing.. He asked me to be his official girlfriend that night....

My thoughts were interrupted by the nurses coming in they told me that they had to change Kevin's clothes, into the hospital .. thing. I never liked hospitals, must less the creepy green gowns.. I was.. I'll admit a bit jealous, and protective of him..  But I had to step out...

I did and was walking around the hallway... I was so worried... a small cry escaped my lips, in a failed attempt I tried containing it by biting my lip... In a moment I was crying like hell.... I never meant for it to be like this... ever....

10 minutes passed and I was still outside, The doctor came up to me and told me that they will do a little test on Kevin so I had to wait outside another hour.. I agreed..

Everyone was in the cafeteria... I hadnt eaten in a while... Everything I was doing reminded me of Kevin.. I missed his voice so bad... If he were now he'd tell me in his sweet Kentucky accent, "Baby stop crying". "Babe everything'll be fine". "Dont starve yourself, sweetie"..... and most of all... "I love you babe"... I loved it when he called me babe.... I loved the way he'd hug me... The way he laughed.... Even the way he used to cry had a place in my heart.. As cool and calm as he looked, he was shattered from inside. His dad passed away from cancer, He was traumatized by that.. we'd have long conversations just about that.... He still thinks that he hasnt made anyone in his life proud.  He's an idiot for thinking that... but he's my idiot... My Kentucky idiot...

The door behind me opened and the nurses walked out, followed by the doctor, "Well get the results in a while.. You can go see him now"

I walked in to see Kevin in the green gown I dreaded.. Regardless, I took a seat next to his hospice bed, and took his hand in mine, "Hi baby", I kissed his hand and put it on my cheek like he would... if he could, " Everything will be fine okay babe.. I promise.. I wont leave you ok? I wont.... Please wake up...." I climbed into the bed with him, careful not to pull out the wire, pipe thingies, in no time I was asleep...
