Vanessa's POV
That night I get dressed in warmer clothes and start walking around town, fall is definitely starting with every step I take I hear a crunch from the brightly colored leaves that have been falling. I end up at the park and take a seat on a bench that is under the streetlight, a little bit later I see someone walking toward me and I begin to worry but it fades when I realize that it is Kevin sooner than I want he is standing right in front of me. "Hey Vanessa mind if I sit with you?" I shrug my shoulders "Its a free country." With that he sits down next to me he's close enough to me our clothes are brushing together and I can feel the warmth from his body, We sit in silence for a few minutes until Kevin breaks it." Vanessa I want you to know that I'm so sorry for leaving you and not being there for you when Melissa was taken off life support, I'm sorry I didn't come back and I'm sorry I didn't try to get back in touch with you and I'm sorry for fighting and making you leave again, I will do whatever it takes so you can see how sorry I am. I still have feelings for you and maybe you feel the same way about me too. Give me one night, we can go on a date and start all over and have a good time like we used to "Will you go on a date with me?"
I know I can't be mad at Kevin forever and he did deserve a second chance and this would be a good chance to start over I did like Kevin he knew a lot about me but there was a voice inside my head saying you want to know Zak he's new, he's dark, he's sensual I stopped those thoughts right there. "If I say yes you won't try anything, no funny business?" He gave me a wink and a flirty smile "Not unless you want me to." I slapped his shoulder and scooted away from him. "You can pick me up on Saturday night at seven don't be late." I get up off the bench and start walking home leaving Kevin sitting there with a huge smile on his face.
When I get home I start searching for my key realizing I left it inside and everyone else had gone out for a little while I lift up the welcome mat and pick up the spare key. "You look nice." I almost jump out of my skin and turn around I look over to the porch swing hanging on the dark part of the porch, "Zak what are you doing here?" .."I'm actually here to see you, I'm sorry for fighting him and making you leave I know that we hardly know each other but I do want to know you."
I start thinking to myself this can't be happening right now, "So what are you trying to say?" He gets up and walks over to me " ..."I'm asking you if you want to go on a date...with me" he takes a deep breath and exhales like a huge load has been taken off of him. I look at him and run my eyes over his body hoping that he doesn't notice I look at his huge muscles, and the tight black shirt that goes across his chest and I look at all of his other black clothing too. I was attracted to him and maybe my thoughts from earlier were right. "We can go out on Monday night." He takes a few steps and gets even closer now he is standing right in front of me and then I feel his lips on mine.
