Zak's POV
I send Vanessa down to the cafeteria to get something to eat then I walk over and sit in the chair by the bed. "I will admit this was a good move on your part I kind of wish I thought of it first."
I look at the machines he's hooked up to and I glance at the heart monitor, I take off my cap and run my hand through my hair
"Look Kevin I know we haven't got along but you have to wake up Vanessa needs you."
Nothing happens and I feel bad about the fights but in a few days he would wake up and be the same irritating pain in the butt pretty boy he always was.
I get up and walk out and go down to the cafeteria and see Vanessa sitting at a table picking at her food. I walk over and take a seat next to her and put her hand in mine she looks up at me and I see the dark circles that have formed under her gorgeous brown eyes
"I'm here sweetie and I'm not leaving you."
I feel her squeeze my hand then she leans against me with her head on my chest, I wrap my arms around her and start rubbing her back.
~~~2 DAYS LATER~~~
Zak's POV
Kevin hasnt woken up yet, Vanessa is getting worse every hour.... She's-- Its like everything thats happening right now is just flashbacks of what happened with Mel.
But she's forgotten about me now. Im beginning to realize that she does love Kevin. I get that he's sick and not waking up but this is too much for me.. I wanna know if she does love me.
I make my way up to Kevin's room. im standing outside the door and I can hear talking.
"Baby please wake up.. I want you, I need you... with me.. Please... I love you"
It was Vanessa talking to him.
"Zak?? Are you spying us?!"
"We need to talk"
"Why are you spying on us!!!"
"Why are you screaming Vanessa?"
There was a short pause.. Her brown eyes got darker with anger...
I turned around to leave. I walked away into the garden.
"Hey..", Vanessa had followed me
The anger was building up inside me too. I had bottled it up but I couldnt go any further
"You know what Vanessa? I didnt wanna leave like Kevin did the last time this happened. And this is what I get? When's the last time you told me you love me? Have you forgotten that kiss? That moment? Do you know what I saw? I saw us. On a date, then getting married, then our first night together. After that I saw a baby. Hair like mine, Eyes like yours. "
She stood there stunned. She looked beautiful but i tried repelling my thoughts. Once she let me in only then i'd left my mind wander.. This.. this was killing me
"Do you want that? Have you ever pictured that... with me?"

"I love you with all my heart and soul Vanessa. But I need you to choose"
"But Zak"
"Now Vanessa"
Vanessa's POV
I couldnt believe this was happening... That this moment would ever come... But I had an answer.... It broke my heart to let him go but I knew who I wanted.. He--.. The questions Zak asked. I had a clear picture in my mind now...."
"Now Vanessa."
