Chapter 28- As time goes by~Zak

Zak's POV

I'm beginning to see what Kevin meant. We were pulling Vanessa away from her family. I wanted the best for her. So I agreed with Kevin.

But it was hard, not knowing what she's doing. Seeing her is just a car ride away. I can go talk to her right now. But... Would she want to see me?

Maybe with us being away she'll be able to make her decision. Hmph, Decision. She kissed Kevin. What "decision" is left?

I know Im not enough for her, She'll want a family, kids. A good house, perfect life. Not sleepless nights, door slamming at every moment, Demonic laughs when she's home alone. Why am I hanging on then?

Kevin can give her what she needs. Why is she not picking him. She knows whats better for her. He is..

What will I do without her, now a day doesnt go by, i dont think of her. What will I do when she chooses him.. I'll die probably..

Everyone around me knows I love her, And they are trying to get me out of this depressive phase but only Vanessa has the power to do that. To make me any different than I am now....

I got a call from an unknown number, carelessly i picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hello Zak. This is Kevin. Im just calling to tell you that Im leaving for my tour. Since we're giving Vanessa some time alone, It would be best If I left. I just wanted you to know that. Ive already met with her and the Galkas"
"Ok, Im thinking I leave too"
"Thats your choice bro. I guess"
"Yeah.... Good Luck to you and the guys"
"Good luck to you and your crew too"
"Bye"
"Bye"

With that I got my car keys and drove to the Galka House. I was greeted by Gary and his wife going out to a dinner party.

Gary unlocked the door for me and I went in. Heather and Jennifer were watching TV. They told me Vanessa was in her room.

I slowly made my way upstairs and knocked on her door...
"Vanessa"

The door opened
"Zak. Hey!"
"Hey"
We hugged
"I wanted to talk to you"
"Sure"
"Since Kevin and I are giving you time by yourself. Im gonna leave too"
"You dont have"
"I know. I want you to be happy, I'll be back someday. If you ever need me, just call"

She hugged me. I hugged back. Wrapping her arms around my waist and burying her face into my chest reminded me of the first time I held her. By the lake... It reminded me of our date. Leaving her would be hard but it was good to know she'll remember me.

A group hug with Heather and Jennifer followed by Vanessa seeing me off was all i had before I left. Not caring what was to come next only holding on to the past.
