"Still no powers, Pro?"

Pro sighed. She had been trying to figure out if she had any abilities since the rest of the Hero Squad had left. It was driving her insane to not be able to join them on the mission. After what Shadow had done, she wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face. Hard.

"No, still nothing." She replied, turning to Notch, who was standing in the doorway. The King of Minecraftia nodded and said "If you find that you gain any powers, come meet me in the throne room as soon as possible."

"Will do." Pro said glumly. To be completely honest, she wasn't sure whether she wanted powers or not. Half of her still wanted to be human, but half of her wanted to know what being a hybrid was like.

Being normal was a quickly dying hope. There was no way she was going to be human. And couldn't Shadow have picked something a little more...threatening? A slime, of all things? He couldn't have chosen a blaze? A skeleton? A creeper even? But nooooo, he chose a slime.

She began pacing. There was nothing Pro hated more than feeling helpless. And right now, she was so, so very helpless. Just as she had been helpless when Shadow had done his sick experiment.

Notch had done a thorough inspection and announced that the process was irreversible, so there was no way she would be a normal human again, thanks to Shadow. Her fist ached at the thought of pounding his face in. A bit violent, yes, but not unjustified.

As Notch turned to go, Pro was tempted to ask if he would let her join the rest of the Hero Squad, but knew the answer would be negative. She sighed through her nose and banged her head against the wall.

Well, tried to.

She stumbled backward, bewildered. It was as if the wall was a trampoline! Readying herself, she punched the wall as hard as she could. Instead of ending up with a broken hand, she was unharmed.

The same wasn't to be said for the wall, though.

It wasn't the wall, she knew that for sure. She had seen Ranger punch enough walls to know that it wasn't the wall that was doing this. It was...holy Notch, I have powers! Pro internally screamed to herself.

Pro wasn't sure whether she should cry in a corner or jump for joy. Though if she did the jumping part, who knows, she might hit her head off the ceiling. On second thought, she should probably tell Notch.

Opening the door, she walked out into the hall. The click of the door closing seemed deafening in the otherwise quiet hallway. Slowly, she began to make her way to the throne room on memory alone.

Her memory was exceptional. Unlike Ranger's. The Ender Hybrid had to have lost her cloak ten times in the last month. She grinned as she thought about it...then scowled as she remembered the mission she was missing out on.

A dark figure flickered on the edges of her vision, and Pro turned. For a few seconds, there was silence. Shrugging, she turned back around...only to find herself staring into eyes that glowed bloodred.

And it wasn't Blaze.
