Chapter 7: Shroud
I reached the Marina hotel after ten minutes tipping the cabby as it rushed out of the hotel looking for several other passengers, but I’m sure I was the biggest tipper of the day.
The hotel was, It was just enormous and wonderful it was like heaven but not that much just the council room part.
"Excuse me!" a girl called out as she raised her hand at me.
"Oh!" I ran towards the table labeled 'Concierge'.
"Would you like to check in?" she asked as she gave me her best smile.
"Yes."
"Oh! Um are you Ms. Geoff?"
"Um, I guess so."
"Yes okay here is your room key."
"Good um how did you know I was going to check in?"
"A man called a while ago."
"Oh, what was his name?"
"Um, let me ask, one moment."
"Um, what time is it?"
"Its 4:45pm, madam."
"Oh okay."
"Um, madam, his name is Michael."

I went up my room surprised it was like back up on heaven. My room was filled with pink and I had a frame just in the middle as big as the one I had back up there, and it had the pink cherries on it. A picture of me and Lucas together at the Saturday game, when we posed at the picture I remembered the sun that day, it was beautiful, magical, and the best thing I have ever seen the whole day.
I went across the room and turned it around. When I got the frame up, I thought I saw me and Lucas but I guess it was just the sunset that had been pictured and placed in the frame.
It was near sun set and I wanted to grab something to eat. I called room service and ordered a semi crab with oyster sauce.
It wasn't that expensive it was just below $5. I didn't expect too much of it.
"Room service." the man said knocking on my door.
I wore a lazy tank top and mini shorts just to prepare for bed. I went towards the door and opened it.
"Oh I'm sorry madam." he said blushing seeing me wearing my top and shorts. “I’m sorry for interrupting madam. But your food is here.” He said showing me the cart behind him.
"Oh no problem at all. It's okay just put it across the room."
"Oh okay madam." he pushed the cart with my crab in front of the television.
"Here" I handed him a $10 bill.
"Um, madam you’re supposed to pay this when you check out."
"Oh! Can't I pay directly and you keep the change."
"Um, alright, I'll tell the Concierge for you madam, enjoy!"
"Thanks. You enjoy too!" I called out.
He went strolling through the door exiting and shut the door.
"Thanks." I screamed again.
I ate my crab while watching Jo's daily yoga. I love it they had head stands already and most of that stuff.
After I ate I went to my bed and fell down without another word to say.
That night, I had a dream. But the dream was different from all my other dreams. It wasn't about Serina it was about Lucas.
He was still inside my room examining the frame and still staring at the sky wishing for me to go back.
Then a voice whispered.
"What do you wish to happen, my child?"
Lucas looked up and found a man with long beard reaching the ground standing at the back of him letting him sit in my bed's soft comfy pillow.
"Boy what do you wish?" the man asked.
"I wish to be down there helping her and my human." he said sadly.
"Then why don't you go down?" Lucas looked down, and I guess he was looking at me, because his eyes was filled with questions, questions maybe only I can answer for him.
"Because I can't go down yet not unless the moon is full."
"But you can't wait any longer. Your heart is beginning to be filled with much lust. You need her or you'll become a fallen angel even before you fall and you won't be as blessed as your friend down there."
"I understand my consequences. By the way who are you?"
Then when he looked back it was just him again alone, in my room staring at a picture of me and him.
