* Wesley's POV *
I toweled off my upper body, drying myself as I stepped out of the bathroom. I walked down the hall and into my room, locking the door after I quietly shut it. I removed the second towel from around my waist and grabbed a pair of boxers, pulling my legs through the holes. I searched through my closet and found a pair of black jeans and a reddish and yellow plaid shirt. As I got dressed, I thought of Jenn and what she'd wear tonight. In all honesty, I was slightly nervous about tonight. I've met Jennifer's mom before, but barely. She always seemed very distant, but I always shook it off. I looked at myself in my small mirror, shaking out my wet hair with my hands. I debated on whether I should wear one or not as I eyed my line of hats. I shook my head; no, I'll go without one. I walked back into the hallway and into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I knocked on their front door, Keaton standing with his hands in his pockets. Almost immediately, the door swung open, revealing Emily, a big smile shown clear, "hey guys." Keaton took a small step inside and pulled her in, burying his face in her neck. The strong smell of food filled the room as I inhaled the scent. I tried to figure out what was made, but I couldn't pinpoint it. I looked past them and into the kitchen where I saw Lucy and Jenn, she was helping her mom finish off everything. My vision cascaded down her body, examining her outfit. She had on black leggings with an open-back leopard print sleeveless top with plain black flats. Her waves were pulled into a side braid, down her left shoulder, some pieces hanging out to frame her face. She washed her hands before turning and facing me. She showed off her perfectly straight teeth, letting me see the smile I adored. She jogged up to me, wrapping her small arms around my neck as I placed my hands on her hips, squeezing slightly. "I missed you," she whispered, pressing her forehead to mine. "I missed you too," I admitted, lifting my chin to give her a quick kiss. She pulled away, biting her lip before turning around to face her mother. "Well hello there," Lucy smiled as I noticed how much Jennifer resembled her. "Hey Mrs. Bailey," I held out my hand as she waved it away, holding out her arms instead, "give me a hug," she laughed as I embraced her, chuckling slightly. "Oh, and call me Lucy," she smiled once again before turning to Keaton. "Hi," Keaton grinned, wrapping his arms around Lucy's back. After she pulled away, she looked back and forth between Keaton and I, "I hope you guys like meatloaf." I quickly nodded my head, my eyes widening, "I love meatloaf." Lucy threw her head back slightly, laughing at my dramatic reaction. Keaton spoke, "me too, that'd be great." Lucy clasped her hands together, "wonderful. Come this way," she guided us into the dining room where there was already 5 plates set up with a slice of meatloaf on each, a pile of mashed potatoes next to it. Lucy took a seat at the head of the table as Jenn and I walked to one side. I pulled out Jennifer's chair, being a gentlemen as she sat down, jumping up in her seat to bring herself closer to the table. I sat next to her, bringing my hand between my legs and pulling the chair closer towards the table . Keaton and Emily were seated across from Jenn and I, leaving the only open chair directly across from Lucy, which was the opposite head chair. Everyone immediately began to eat, talking about whatever as I looked up at Jenn. She was staring intently at her sister, listening to her talk her fight with her friend. I noticed her left hand, which was closer to me was on her lap as the other held her fork. I took my right hand and placed it on her leg, intertwining our fingers under the table. She looked down at our interlocked fingers before peeking up at me. I smirked at her as she blushed, smiling back. I looked back at my food and took a bite, never releasing our grip.
* Jennifer's POV *
"Oh god, I'm so full," I breathed, laying on my bed. Wes and I went upstairs after dinner, wanting a little privacy. "Me too," Wesley yawned, laying down next to me. We stared up at my ceiling before I heard the sound of rustling next to me as if he shifted. I turned my own and locked eyes with his deep hazel orbs, that were already staring deeply into mine. We stayed that way for a few moments before he broke the silence, "you're so beautiful," he whispered, sitting up and leaning his body against one elbow, digging itself into my bed. He brought his hand gently to my cheek, tucking some hair behind my ear as he continued to stare into my eyes. I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked up at the beautiful human being above me. I brought my hand up and gripped his biceps as I pulled myself up, attacking his lips with mine. He laid down, bringing me with him and I laid on top of him. He explored my mouth, our tongues fighting for dominance as he obviously won. I brought one leg over so I was now straddling his waist and cupped his face, pulling away. His hands rested on my hips as he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth. I sat up straight , helping myself up by walking my hands down his chest. I kept my hands pressed in his stomach, feeling his hard abs. "So, your mom is really nice, I like her," he mentioned, bringing his fingertips to my arm, slowly running up and down my sensitive skin. Goosebumps formed along my body to his touch as I nodded, "yeah, she likes you and Keaton too, thank god." He lightly laughed and was about to say something but a loud knock was forced against my wood door. I casually climbed off him as he sat up straight and I opened the door, revealing my mom, "hey." "I just wanted to let you know I'm going to bed, I'm tired," she smiled before peeking her head past me to see Wesley, "goodnight Wes," she waved as Wesley quickly stood up and walked over to her, wrapping his large arms around her body. "Goodnight Lucy," he pulled away as she smiled widely, waving to us both once again. I watched her as she walked down the hall to her room, her watching her feet in the process. I closed the door in my room, looking up at the clock in my room, "what time do you need to be home?" I looked over at him as he grabbed his phone, pulling it from his pocket, "uh, I don't really know but my mom texted me 5 minutes ago." He opened the text, mumbling the message out loud to himself, "be home soon, no later than 11:30." It was now 10:49 so I smiled in relief that I had more time with him. He quickly replied as I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. I buried my face in his neck, standing there, not wanting to move. I felt his arms snake around my back, clasping his own hands together as he pulled me closer. He then began to sing softly into my ear, a song I adored: Your Song by Elton John. I never really listened to his music but I was always obsessed with that song. It used to put me to tears and I was beginning to get that burning sensation in the bridge of my nose. I hugged him impossibly tighter as he neared the chorus, which was the part that made me cry the most. "And you can tell everybody this is your song, it may be quite simple, but now that it's done, I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind, that I put down in words, how wonderful life is while your in the world," he finished, planting a kiss to my neck. My body shook as I cried into his shoulder, not realizing how tight my grip was on his shirt until I released it. After about a minute, I slowly pulled away, keeping my vision to the floor. Wes brought his hand to my chin, lifting my face so he can see me. I wiped one cheek with the back of my hand as he wiped the other side with his thumb. "I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd cry," he whispered apologetically as I released a small laugh, "it's fine." I walked over to my bathroom, grabbing a tissue. "I used to play that song when I was young: it used to make me cry all the time," I explained, tossing the used tissue into the garbage pail. I looked over at Wes who was standing in the doorway, leaning against the door frame. I walked over to him and kissed his cheek gently, wrapping my arms around his neck again. I held him like I never wanted to let go. "I'd never want to make you sad. I'd do anything I could to make you happy," he whispered in my hair. And it was true. Everything he did made me happy, he never made me upset about anything. Whenever I had a problem, I went to him and told him. He always cheered me up and made me laugh when I didn't think anyone could. He may not be perfect to someone else, but to me he was.
