* Wesley's POV *
I pulled up to the large white house that I know as Jennifer's and parked right in front. Keaton jumped out excitedly as I smiled to myself, climbing out of the car. I felt the ground with my covered feet, gently slamming the car door. I walked casually up her pathway that led to her front door, Keaton walking next to me. I looked over at him and he was smiling slightly. We stopped when we arrived at the door and I hesitantly knocked three times, patiently waiting for someone to answer. Almost immediately, Emily swung the door open with a friendly smile, "hey!" She embraced Keaton as I grabbed her arm and pulled her into a big bear hug, "hey Emily, what's up?" I squeezed her and she laughed hysterically as I noticed I didn't see Jennifer anywhere in sight. I loosened my hold around her as she backed up next to Keaton; he wrapped his arm around her waist in a side hug, pulling her closer into him. "Where's Jenn?," I asked curiously, furrowing my eyebrows at Emily. Then I heard something and I turned my head towards the stairs, watching as Jennifer eyed her feet, slowly stepping down each step. She tucked some hair behind her left ear before her vision slowly traveled to meet with mine. She irresistibly smiled as she opened her arms, waiting for me to embrace her. I quickly accepted the offer, holding her as close as possible. "Hi," she whispered, sending chills down my spine as I felt her hot breath against my neck. I smiled before pulling away, allowing her to greet Keaton. They gave each other this sort of look before breaking into laughter and reducing the space between them; I guess a sort of secret-friend-greeting thing. I smiled to myself as she walked back over to me, facing my direction, "so, where do you want to go first?" I blankly looked at her, parting my lips as I shrugged, "wherever you want." She then turned again to our younger siblings and quickly suggested, "we're going to be in my room." I slightly raised my eyebrows as I waited for them to say something. Emily nodded as she answered back, "okay, we'll be in the den." Jenn nodded before grabbing my hand with her own and walking upstairs. I looked around her house in admiration, fascinated by it. It was rather large, almost too big for 4 people, which reminded me, "where are your parents?," I asked as we walked into her room, which too was rather big. She looked down at her hands which were pulling at each other as she played with her fingers. She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth, chewing on the sensitive skin before looking back up at me. She sat down on her bed before finally answering, "I only live with my mom." My lips parted slightly as I felt horrible for bringing up the situation, "I'm so sorry...," my voice trailed off as I sat down next to her. She waved her hand in my direction, shaking her head at me, "no don't worry about it, I never even met my dad, he left us when he found out my mom was pregnant with Emily." I nodded, not really sure what to say. "Oh, and my mom is working, like always," she added, looking back down at her hands. Silence filled the air as I closed my eyes and shook my head. 'Really Wes?,' I thought to myself; out of everything I'd have to ask, I ask that first? Just then, I felt her hand press against my thigh and I reopened my eyes as she stood up again, "come on." She smiled, reaching her hand out to me, "lets go." I smiled back at her, gladly accepting her gesture. I stood up and towered over her, looking down at her tiny figure. I found myself lost for a moment as I stared into her dark brown eyes. They had a sort of sparkle that shined whenever she looked up at me and that's one of the main things I liked about her. My vision slowly traveled down to her lips as I studied every feature upon her face, noticing how flawless she was. I had to look away before I couldn't find myself anymore and I looked back at the boxes that were stacked upon each other in the back of her room. "What should we do first?," I asked, shrugging my shoulders in question. She smiled and dragged me over to the boxes and began to tear one open, "just start anywhere." The first box was filled with small statues that she used to fill up her dresser. She grabbed one and walked over to her dresser, placing it down towards the back. She picked up some of the books that laid upon it and went to place them on her bed as one fell from her hold, smacking against the ground as it flipped open. I bent down to pick it up, noticing a drawing depicted into the white page. I slowly picked it up as I studied it, my jaw dropping slightly. I stared at it, dumbfounded. "You never told me you could draw?," I said in more of a question. She shrugged her shoulders, repeating my words from last night, "I didn't think you wanted to know." I laughed slightly as I looked back at her drawing of a girl sitting against a wall with her head between her knees. I flipped the page, looking at another and another. Her work gave off a saddening vibe as I wondered if the feelings I'm feeling were the feelings she felt as she drew these. I continued to admire her work until I came across one of a couple enveloped in each other. I marveled in it before I looked down at when she dated it, noticing this was a recent drawing, only from two days ago. I looked up at Jennifer, who was already looking at me, noticing a small smile upon her lips. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out until I managed to say, "Jenn, your an incredible drawer, really. You should do something with it, you have an amazing talent." She smiled wider before walking up to me, "that's something we have in common." She closed the book in my hand before rejoining it with the books it was once accompanied by before. "And thank you," she added shyly before turning around and walking towards the box full of statues. I followed her, reaching into the box and pulling a small picture frame of her and 5 other girls. I looked at the picture, examining it. She was in the middle and two were on her left side as three were on her right. They were all rather pretty but none quite as breathtaking as the one I'm with right now. I handed her the frame as she took it, staring at it for a few moments, running her thumb across the glass. She smiled crookedly to herself before walking over to her bed and placing it gently upon her bedside table. She walked back to me and took a deep breath as she grabbed another as well as myself. We continued this as we talked and talked, informing each other about ourselves and just rambling on about whatever came to mind.
* Jennifer's POV *
I didn't realize how much time passed as Wesley and I got carried away in our conversation about absolutely nothing. We shared so many laughs and I learned a lot about his personality and noticed his preferences were similar to mine, adding on to our common interests, giving me all the more reason to like this boy. What's there not to like? I can't even think of an imperfection because there is none. How could I have been so lucky to have met someone who took me in with open arms so quickly? It seemed so unreal because of how everyone treated me in New York. I looked over at the time and it was 10:03. We emptied 4 boxes and I was impressed with how quickly my room was beginning to look like how it did in New York. My walls are a dark perry-winkle color, matching my comforter nicely, which was a dark purple. I had a full size bed, which I loved because I had a habit of spreading my body across it when I slept. I turned to Wesley and he was in the middle of taking a deep breath, walking over to me as he looked around my room. He stopped when his eyes met mine and he nodded, "you have a nice room, who helped you decorate it?" I laughed and poked his chest with my finger, "you." He gasped playfully, "really? Damn I'm good." I threw my head back in laughter and I was about to say something but his phone began to sing in his pocket as he was receiving a call. He reached back, grabbing his phone and groaned when he read the name across the screen. He tapped his thumb against it before holding it next to his ear, "hey mom." I watched him shift the phone from his left ear to his right as he nodded, "okay, I'll be home in 10 minutes." I frowned as he hung up and looked at me. "I'm sorry, my mom is making me come home," he gave me an apologetic look as I laughed, noticing how seriously he took my saddened expression. "It's fine, I understand," I assured. He chuckled as he followed me out the door and I headed downstairs. I completely forgot about Keaton and Emily as I remembered when I was about to open the front door for Wesley to make his way outside. I shook my head as Wes laughed at me. I walked towards the den to inform Keaton he was leaving and I opened it to discover them on the couch with Emily's head in Keaton's lap and his arm laid comfortably on her stomach as she played with his shirt. They were talking about something until they heard the door open and Emily lifted her head, looking at me. "Keaton, your mom called and you have to leave," I said sadly, watching Emily's face drop, looking back and forth between Keaton and I. He threw his head back into the couch and groaned, "okay." He sat up and reached out towards Emily and she grabbed his hand, standing up from her seated position. They followed me to the front door where Wesley was patiently leaning against it, his hands in his pockets. He smiled quickly as he nodded to Keaton, "are you ready?" Keaton nodded before hugging Emily and he obviously whispered something to her because she broke into laughter and I couldn't help but smile at them; Keaton was one of the sweetest boys I've met, no surprise he was related to Wesley. I faced Wes and he snaked his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck loosely, burying my face into him. I took a deep breath, inhaling his scent as he rested his forehead on my right shoulder. "I'll see you tomorrow," I whispered before awkwardly planting a small kiss to his cheek. He pulled away before smiling and heading towards the front door, Keaton closely behind him. I waved to them once more before shutting the door. That instant I became slightly tired as I yawned noisily, Emily doing the same. "How was your night?," She asked, at the last second of her yawn. "Perfect," I said breathily before adding, "I got most of my room done, come look." I led her into my side of the split room, showing her our accomplishments and we talked about the events of earlier.
"I'm so tired I'm gonna go to sleep," I yawned again for at least the 100th time after a while of conversing with my little sister. "Me too, love you Jenn," she embraced me as I pressed my lips to her forehead. "Love you too," I watched as she walked out of my room, closing the door quietly. I was already changed into my pajamas so I just laid back against my bed, letting my body sink into the mattress. I slowly closed my eyes and easily fell into a deep sleep.
