* September, Jennifer's POV *
School started in three days and quite frankly, I was excited. I got my schedule as well as Wes, Emily and Keaton. Wes and I had most of our classes together and Emily only had lunch and English with Keaton. I had went school shopping with Emily and bought a bunch of new clothing and Wes and I shopped together for any significant school supplies. My mother and father got closer within the last few weeks and Emily's been doing well after the accident. I still haven't forgiven my dad after what he said about Wes, but I still spoke to him when I felt it was necessary. He's been sleeping in the guest bedroom since last weekend since him and my mother decided it'd be good for Emily and I to get to know him better, although I felt I knew him well enough and I wanted no part of him.
I stepped into Wes' bedroom and sat at the edge of his bed, feeling it dip down as I waited for him to come back from the kitchen. I checked my phone, seeing I had a text from Emily, "mom wants you home soon, she wants us all to talk with dad." I scoffed and dropped my head into my palm as I answered her back, "okay." I heard the heavy steps of Wesley's feet against his stairs and I lifted my head to see him through the doorway. "Hey babe," he leaned down to kiss me, sitting beside me as the bed dipped even more. I kissed him back before pulling away and leaning my forehead against his, sighing, " I have such a headache." He pulled away and rubbed my head, "do you want Tylenol?" I nodded as he got me two tylenols, handing me them along with a small cup of water. I took the two pills before laying back against his bed, spreading my arms out to the sides of my body. Wes crawled above me and laid his body down onto mine, laying the side of his face against my chest. I gently ran my fingers through his hair as I spoke, speaking so low, it was almost a whisper, "I have to speak with my dad tonight and I'm not looking forward to it." He inhaled a deep breath and mumbled back, "don't worry about it, everything will be fine, I promise." He lifted his head from my chest and pulled himself up to kiss my cheek, then traveling his lips to my own. My hand found it's way to the back of his neck as the other grabbed his shoulder. We slowly made out before we heard a knock on the door and he rolled off of me, "yes?" The door opened as Laraine popped her head through the crack, a smile plastered on her face, "would you like to stay for dinner?" I looked at Wesley's clock on his bedside table, noticing it was now 5:30pm. I quickly thought about what time I should be home before nodding, "yes I would, thank you." I offered a smile as she returned one, "food will be ready in a few."
"Thank you so much for dinner but I must go," I looked over at Laraine with a sad smile before she replied, "you never have to thank me honey." Wes got up and pulled my chair out as I stood up and grabbed my bag. I waved goodbye to Bill and Laraine before Wes walked me to the front door, which was hidden from his parents view. He placed his hands on my hips and pushed me against the door, kissing me deeply. My hands found their way tangled in his hair again as our tongues danced together. "You know, we haven't had sex in a while," Wes whispered huskily, reminding me as my breathing quickened. I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth as I felt his hard on against my leg. "Wes...," I whimpered as he cupped my breasts, and I grabbed his hands and pulled them away, "I have to go." I pecked his lips before putting my lips against his ear, "but I'll be back tonight." I pulled away before cupping his cheeks and kissing him one last time before stepping out.
"So why are we doing this?," I asked with my arms crossed over my chest, sitting back against the couch. My mom was sitting beside me as Emily and my father sat across from us. "I wanted to apologize for what I said to you a few weeks ago, it wasn't my place to say something like that," my dad spoke to me as I just stared at the floor, not even wanting to look at him. "It's fine. Can I go upstairs now?," I answered sharply as my mom quickly answered, "no Jenn, he's apologizing to you." "And I said it was okay, I forgave him, simple as that," I said, slightly raising my voice as my dad joined in, "hey, don't yell at your mother!" I quickly stopped speaking and slowly turned my head to look at him, a disgusted look shown clear upon my face, "excuse me?" He opened his mouth to say something to me but he just ended up closing his mouth again. I stood up and walked closer to him, pointing my finger at him, "don't you ever discipline me again, you may be my father by blood, but you're just a stranger to me. Don't you dare yell at me again." I turned to look at my mom before I walked upstairs, ripping my clothes from my body. I grabbed a pair of Wesley's dark grey sweatpants he's given me and pulled them up my legs before pairing it with a white tanktop. I tied my long hair into a loose bun before slipping my feet into a pair of white flip flops. I grabbed my bag and jogged back downstairs, mumbling, "I'm going back to Wes' house, I'll be back whenever." I closed the door before anyone could answer, jumping quickly into my car and blasting music the entire short ride to his house.
