Chapter 7: A Day Never Forgotten

Brynley sat in the waiting room waiting for Will or Isaiah to come out with news on her baby. She saw someone walk out the double doors.

"Isaiah,Is she going to be ok?"

"Cassadee is going to be ok. Turns out she just had a cold. But she'll be ok. I promise. And She might be able to go home tomorrow. But We'll taking tests."

"Oh Ok." Brynley had a flash of relieve.

December 10
Jessa is 6 months pregnant
Jessa struggled to get out of bed,but She got out.
She walked downstairs and sat on the couch.

"Mom!" yelled JJ

"What Jay?" JJ ran downstairs n

"I need 50 bucks,I'm buying Paisley's Christmas present and I need more money. Grandpa said He'll pay me to cut his grass but It's to damn cold outside to do that. So I am cleaning his house. He paid me 100 to do that but I need $400 dollars."

Jay got out of bed and walked towards the kitchen. He handed JJ his credit card.
"You bring this back here if you don't. I'm disowning you."

"Ok Dad! Did you and Mom have a bad night?"

"No. We actually had a good one." Jay smirked, then he walked back to his room and layed back in bed.

Jessa went into the bathroom threw her clothes off then looked at her bump. She smiled. Knowing that in a couple months She'll be a Mom.

"I love you Baby Ruzek. I'll always love you. Mom and Dad,We'll love you to the end of time. I promise." She put her hand on her belly and felt a kick.

"Mom! Dad! I'm going to Jacie's house." said Mason

"Mason,Why'd you do it? I thought I raised you better than this. Mason,You really hurt Jessa. Then you cheat on her and get her pregnant. Really? Your Mom and I didn't raise you to become a dick. We raised you to save lives and be a hero. But the only thing you are being is a rude ass dick who doesn't deserve to live. Mason. You had no right doing what you did."

"Dad,You could atleast be supportive of me and Jacie."

"We'll be supportive."

"I'm still not over the damn fact that my Daughter is pregnant." said Kelly

Matt sat down next to him.

"I would be pissed. Remember how pissed both of us were about Lacie getting pregnant?"

"Yeah. I do. Vaguely."

"Jessa,Are you ready?" asked Michael

Michael hopped out the truck, and He opened Jessa's door.

"I am so excited to find out if the baby is a girl or a boy. And I think if We have a girl we should name her Reese Noelle."

"You know Jessa, I love that name. I think we should name her that."

Mikey kissed Jessa.

Jessa and Mikey walk into the doctor's office holding hands. They both sit down and wait to be called,they both saw Jacie and Mason walk in.

"Hey Jessa!" said Jacie

Jessa looked at her with a straight face.
"Ok then. Mason,I'm excited to find out if The baby is a boy or a girl. I hope it's a girl."

"I hope it's a boy." Mason kissed Jacie

"Jessa,Ignore them." Mikey whispered

A Nurse walked out.
"Jessa Halstead! Jacie Severide!"

Jessa walked into the room first. Then Jacie walked into her room.

"Hey Jessa,How are you doing?"

"I'm doing good. So is the baby."

Jessa hopped onto the table and lifted her shirt. She finally began to show.

"I think you have the cutest belly Jessa."

The nurse put the gel on her stomach then used the wand and moved it around until she found the baby.

"Jessa,It looks like you are having a girl. Congrats." The nurse printed out the pictures and handed them to Jessa.

In the other room. Jacie and Mason were looking at the screen and they both saw The little baby.

"Jacie,Mason you two are having a boy. Congrats!"

Jessa overheard the excitment in Mason's voice and got sad.

"Jessa,A girl. What you wanted!"

"Can we not tell anyone the name until she's born."

"Yeah. We can wait but We'll have to tell everyone it's a girl though."

"Yeah."

Mikey jumped into the truck and drove towards the district.

"Hey Mom! Hey Dad!" Mikey walked over and hugged Adam

"Hey Son! Did you find out if you are having a boy or a girl?"

"Yes. She is having a..."

"Girl. I am having a girl. And I have never been more excited."

"Aw. Come on Jessa,Tell us the name." complained Kim

"Alright. Her name i-"

"Jessa,I thought you wanted to keep it a secret?"

Mikey put a frown on his face.

"Reese Noelle Ruzek is her name. I absolutely love the name and I think it'll be a great fit for her."

"I love the name Jessa." said Erin

"Mom!" Jessa walked up to her and hugged her.

Lane stood at the bottom of the steps waiting to walk up to Hank's house. It's been a while since He visited his Grandpa. He walked up and opened the door with his key.

"Hey Grandpa!" yelled Lane

Hank came walking out the kitchen,holding his Granddaughter Maddie.

"Hey Uncle Justin! Hey Bradley!" said Lane

"Hey Lane! What are you doing here?" asked Hank

"I need a favor of yours Grandpa. Like now." Lane and Hank walked into the other room.

"I just wanted to know how you are doing. I Mean, it's been a while."

"I'm doing good. How's the boys and How's Greyson? And Em?"

"They are doing good Grandpa. I mean Grey doesn't like the fact that Madison is dating Chris. But I don't either. I wish Lacie was still alive to see Grey and Emmie."

"Me too Kid. How's my unit doing?"

"Good. I don't think Uncle Tony or Uncle Kevin like the fact they are being told what to do by a 30 year old. But It is what it is. I'm saving lives one day at a time. My next door neighbor put marijuana in the boys' candy. I arrested him. Jessa's pregnant,Mason left her for Jacie. I don't know Grandpa. I wish We could bring people back from the dead. Because damn I would do it if I could."

"Lane,I know I've said it a million times but you've come a long way from being that quirky teenager. Look at my grandson now. You are a Sergeant,A Dad and a Husband."

Lane walked out the house and into his truck. He drove off.

"Mason,We should name him Jackson Shane?"

"We should. Why don't we. Alright,Jackson Shane is the name of my son."
