Ch. 24
Princess Party
*Claire's POV*
I was nervous about seeing Niall's parents, I seen then so many times. Family dinners,
living five houses down, but this time felt different. I was actually nervous about
meeting them. I don't know why. Maybe it was because I had Addie and Ashton. What if they think I'm a bad mother? What if....
"Claire Marie!!"
I turn around and see Niall right behind me.
"I know your nervous, I can see it in your eyes, your playing with your thumb and your
doing a weird dance with your right knee."
"How do you remember all these things?" I asked surprise.
"Claire, I remember more than you think," as he says that he takes my hand and
knocks on the door. Addie and Ashton by our side. I grabbed his hand and held on for
dear life. My nails were pronely digging into his skin, but he didn't move he just held
on.
"Niall! How are you? You even brought my little grand kids! Claire, how have you
been? Oh, how rude of me, come in!" Marua welcomed us into the house.
*Niall's POV*
I walked into the house, nothing has moved. Everything was in the same place. I'm
home. I missed it here, but I have a new home with my beautiful girlfriend, lovable
daughter and care-free son. No one can replace my mum. It's nice to be here. Addie
and Ashton stay by our side. They just have to get to know their grandma. Greg was in
the family room watching football. Denise was sitting next to him.
"Hey Niall! Haven't seen you in forever?"
"I know, I missed Ireland."
"Who's these two cuties?" Greg asked me.
Addie and Ashton were hiding behind my legs.
"This is Ashton and this is Addie. Say hi guys."
"Hhhhhiiiiiii" Ashton replied.
"Hi, I'm Addie! I'm turning 5 soon. I like princesses and elephants!"
"Someone's a little talker" Greg says with a laugh.
"I think she got it from me."
"How are you and Claire handling things?" Greg asked.
"We are doing well, just busy but we're making the most of it"
"Niall!!!" I hear my mom calling.
"Yes Mum," I responded.
"Your father is coming in town, on wednesday and he was wondering if you wanted to
get lunch with him?"
"I would love to. Where are we going?"
"The little coffee shop on 5th and be there by 11."
"Okay, I think we are all going to bed now"
"No!" Addie and Ashton scream.
"No, you have to go bed now. We have a big day tomorrow."
"What are we doing?" Ashton asks.
"You have to go to bed and you will see in the morning"
Claire takes them to my room, my mum had already got the pull-out ready for them. I
go up and help Claire get them ready for bed. We got their pjs, brushed teeth and Claire
braided Addie's hair because she wanted it wavy. We tucked them in, read a story and
slipped out of the room to go back down and talk to my family.
I was excited to have Addie's party tomorrow. Claire had called all of Addie's friends
and most of them could come. We had rented a bouncy house and mum made a
princess cake. I want everything to be perfect.
