Calvin

2 days later

Cass has been in and out of consciousness. It was dreading. When she did wake up she'd scream my name or growl Jonathons. Debra have been in here with me since her awakening. Menus trys to come, but him and Maria are forbidden to see Cassandra until she's completely healthy and wants their presents. As for my health, Debra and I take shifts to stay in here with Cass. Since Alpha finds it to be that Cass is in better condition that I need to get to work and catch up for lost time.

"Deb, it's three, I have to go." I tell her.

"Okay." She yawned.

I have two weeks of catching up to do. So for the next week I have to show up two hours earlier.

I walk into our new MMA room, usually we used to practice outside now that we've updated the building. "Alpha?" I call out.

"I'm here Calvin. No practice today, I want to talk to you." He says.

"About?" I ask.

"You and Cassandra."

"Yes sir."

"Cassandras about to turn twenty one and at that age, I have to step down from my 'thrown' as some pack members call it. Cass still doesn't have her mate, she's going to have to get married anyway. You're the only one I trust to marry her-"

"No disrespect, sir, I wouldn't want to marry her under your word or position but I already had- I care so much for her and I would like our relationship to be beyond power, sir."

"I know, Calvin, that's why I came to you because someone else asked me in right hand to marry, Cassandra when she wakes."

"Who?" I asked eager.

"Grant."

Grant

"You did what!?" Balfer yelled.

"Now I know Cass is healthy-ish and alive so, I thought about it and she isn't with anyone anymore." I shrug my shoulders.

"I knew you were dumb, but I didn't know you were that dumb. I don't know if you noticed but Calvin would go to hell and back for Cass, and he's done things beyond you for Cass. Then you go to the Alpha and asks him to give you permission to marry his daughter when she wakes up. Wait till Calvin finds out." I pfft then chuckled lowly to myself.

"Why are you taking his side?"

"Because he's been there everyday since they brung her here, you stopped by twice in two weeks. When Calvin finds out-"

"You're dead meat!" I look over Balfers shoulder and saw a angry deadly looking Calvin.

We were face to face in seconds, and I was going stand my ground and die in the process.

No words was said, because he was mentally plotting, and that scares me.

Cassandra

"Calvin stayed that long, for me?" I ask.

"Ya. He really loves you Cass." Debra says.

"I like him, too. Its just so soon." I frown.

"Are you good enough to walk?" She asks.

"I'm perfectly fine, I just need a mint." We both let out a small chuckle and it was kind of weird being here I'm just used to-I need food! "Take me to the kitchen, I'm starving!" The sound of my stomach growling reminded me immediately.

Debra laughed and as soon as we turned the corner at the end of the hall, there was a crowd of a bunch howling and rooting werewolves, that was never good. Deb and I move closer to see what's going on.

Grant and Calvin was fighting, like brutal. Grant was shifted and still losing. Then I realized the person in front of the crowd. You can hear the crowd hooting, soften as they take notice of me. I walk next to my father and my presents wasn't noticed... yet. "I wonder if the Alpha knows about this. You'd think he wouldn't be so happy and intrigued by this." I say softly.

He looks at me then looks away. I guess it finally acquired to him that I was his daughter after a double take. I can see him trying to restrain his happiness in front the large crowd. "Why are you out of bed?" He asks.

"Because I can be. Plus, I got hungry. You're still going to allow this, it'll be a matter of seconds before Calvin shifts into his wolf and break Grants head clear off his head." I say.

"I suppose having a court filled with blood would be a little unnecessary and messy. Are you in good condition?" He asks checking for signs of sickness.

"To fight?" I look at him. "Ya." I say rolling up my sleeve. "I suppose so."

Before he could abject his off I was already at the fight. They didn't notice me. I did what I always did when we play fought, but this was clear to see they were serious.

I grabbed Calvin's muscular upper arm as I rolled over his back knocking him on his stomach. He didn't see me but I think my baby blue nail polish might give it away. I guess he was so caught up in the fight he didn't even recognize. He quickly turned over grabbing both my wrists pressing his foot to my stomach and knocking me on my back. I fell hard, but it was simple to shake off. Then he was gone and Grants wolf was hovering above him drooling. I got into sprinting position and tackled Grant. He snapped at me and my eyes glew red so fast. As I felt the burning sensation erupt. Someone seemed to notice as they securely wrapped their arms around my waist and slowly pulled me back. I turn around to fuss at who ever had stopped me, but ended up seeing Calvin.

"Sorry for flipping you earlier, I was kind of fazed by anger." He looks down then at me with a smile.

I look down and and Calvin still had his arms around my waist. "You need to get to the infirmary." I say as I look at his arms, and some slight cuts and bruises on his face.

I look at my dad he was smirking, usually he'd growl or give me a death stare. Then he realized I was looking and he went straight faced.

He dismissed everybody and Calvin and I walked to the infirmary.

"Debra told me, about how the whole time I was partly dead, that you didn't want to leave my side." I say fiddling with my fingers.

"You are my best friend. I couldn't just leave."

"No, no. No. Debras my best friend and she said that she wasn't there a hundred percent of the time. So why did you?" I take some cloth and pour some peroxide and dabbed his forehead as I walk into his open legs.

He hisses a little and I apologize. "You didn't answer my question." I say.

"I care about you, Cass. I care about you a lot. I didn't want you to leave, not yet at least."

"I heard you. Your every confession while I was asleep."

His eyes flicked up at me in surprise.

"Like?" He said worried like.

"Like. How I was eight you were the one that took Barbie's head off of my favorite doll." He laughed a little. "Like. In eighth grade you was my secret admirer that left Valentine cards in my locker to make me happy." He smiled. "Like. Freshman year when Tucker came home all beat up, he lied saying it was one of the kids at school, but it was you, because you were mad at him for asking me out." Our eyes met, but not for long. I put the cloth to the side and put peroxide on another and start to dab his knuckles, then he grabs my hand. "I-I," I stutter at his touch, "I heard you say that you wanted me to come back, so you can tell me, that you love me."
