Cassandra
"I don't make deals." I tell him directly.
"But this is a good one."
"And how do I know that. You're wanted, in every state pack."
He growled at me and then stopped suddenly. I look to my right and see my father. He looked at me eyes, piled with anger. "No deals will be made. You're not alpha Cassandra, and at this paste I will have to die before you become Alpha."
"That could be hundreds of years!" I yell.
"Thank you for proving my point. Cassandra if you're going to lead you have to be smart, that's one thing you're having a problem with, knowledge. I see We have to go back to third grade when I have to hold your hand for you to listen."
"Bu-"
"No!" He held his hand out and grabbed I had no choice but to grab it. I was embarrassed, but he's my father, and my alpha, it's basically like everyone expect him to punish me and ground everyone else.
I catch a glimpse of Calvin, but the second I made eye contact was the same second he looked away, and Troy pushed him. He's mad with me, and I deserve it, big time.
I look at my father, but he was staring dead ahead. He's mad at me too. Calvin was right I'm so caught up in vengeance I'm just too blind to see that. Don't you hate when something is so close staring you right in the face and you try and grab it, but you only grab at it when it's a mile away. That's me, screwing up the moment, hiding from love, pushing things I want so far away to make sure I never have it, that's me.
I love Calvin he's perfect, please tell me you understand why I want to find Jonathon though, he stole that one thing I wanted to have once and it was because Timothy did what his Alpha brother told him to. Like I have every right to be mad, I just wish Calvin would support me. Well he did until I went over board, but seriously he could've married the alphas daughter and become Alpha why would he throw it all away for my feelings? That's what I love about him though, he never cared for title, he just cared for me, but the idiot I am, I didn't see until now.
I'm pathetic.
"Dad, can I go talk to Calvin?" I ask him, giving him the best puppy dog eyes I could.
"Calvin." Was all he said he started jogging towards us.
"She can't be left unattended." He stuck my hand out for Calvin to grab.
"Sir-" One threatening low growl and Calvin shut himself up.
He grabbed my hand but didn't look at me. "Ok, I see you don't wanna talk, so please just listen. You were rig-" I started coughing really hard. "You we're rig-" I started coughing even harder. "You were not wrong about me. I wasn't being fair to you, I was being selfish. It was just you lost your mate for me, and that says so much. I'm just honestly afraid that if we get married and we mark each other and you become Alpha, that's when my mate shows up and ruin everything. Im so sick of having thing be ruined for you, and I feel like that if I jus-" Calvin's hand covered my mouth, as of full alert of something happening. He looks around and his eyes lock on a tall pinecone tree. His eyes glaze with a light grey, me knowing he's linking someone. Then, without a warning nine of the enforcers, excluding Calvin who was protecting me, headed towards that tree.
That's when he fell. That's when I saw the face of the guy I've searched for, for weeks. That's when I saw Jonathan.
His eyes made contact with mine, and I lost it. Calvin tries to hold me down, but he isn't successful. I leap over two guys and shift in mid-air. Landing on Johnathon. I stare into his eyes and they only held regret, but I screwed up, I put my wolf in charge and she's out for blood. "I can fix everything." He says. "Please. Don't kill me. I found my mate." He holds out a little. "I'm hear to make amends."
I felt myself being lifted into the air. There's only one man I know that's capable of picking up my wolf with ease, my father. "What did I tell you sweetheart, nowadays we ask questions then kill. I raised you better than this." He says putting me down. I curl my tail to my side, and bow my head. "Now walk and sit next to him, not drool and growl over him." I growl lowly not earning a good look from my father. "Now boy, why show up if you knew my daughter would be more than ready to kill you?" My father asks him.
"I-I want a new life. I know if I didn't confront her or-or-or-or-or you sir, y'all would be on my ass for the rest of my life." He says quite nervous.
'can I bite at him now' I link my father in hope.
"No." He says directing his words towards me. "You will deal with him when I give you the ok." I growl at him, and he growls back.
"You're not actually considering letting her do away with me, are you?" He said frightened, and fright made me want to pluck his teeth from his gums one by one and tie his breathing tube in a knot with my canines. He catches my wolfs smirk. "Please don't consider it." He begs.
"I'll consider what I want. Now how do you want to ammend this exactly?" My father asks standing next to Calvin.
"I want to invite the whole pack to my wedding." I feel my eyes narrow, it wasn't jealousy, it was hatred and how he gets a good out come. But my anger let my wolf I full control, I no-longer have control.
My wolf charges but before my teeth doesn't get to rip off his head. I'm tackled, but not by my father, Calvin. My father was caught off guard. "No, Cassandra, you have me." He grunted. My wolf whimpers because its true, but my wolfs out for blood, I have no control. He finally notices that. "Alpha, she isn't in control. And her wolf is furious."
"One second Calvin." He then looks at Jonathan. "I'd like to meet."
