*The Best or Worst news of my life*

I had a couple of dollars to pay for a ride on the Pace bus. Once Kasidee and I found a seat the bus started to drive.

Kasidee tapped my shoulder. "Can I listen to music?"

I dig out my Ipod shuffle from my pocket of my grey sweater. "Here you go, but don't sing. You know what happens when you sing." Kasidee nods in response and she plugs in the ear buds to her small ears. She starts tap her feet to the beat. Then she starts to hum.

'Put your arms around and tell me everything's okay...' Kasidee sang.

The other passengers who were riding the bus were starting to get woozy.

'Darling hold my hand...' Her singing was a beautiful as a angels voice. She sang the notes at the perfect pitch. The bus driver was starting to doze off. The bus swerved a little over the yellow line.

I tapped on Kasidee's shoulder. "Stop singing please."

"I'm sorry I can't help it." She apologized. When she stopped singing the bus driver came back to his senses and pulled the bus over.

"What happended? Is anybody hurt?" The man gave looked at the passengers on the bus. They were fast asleep. Then his gaze turned to us. He stared daggers at us "Get off my bus." His voice was sharp and yet very harsh.

"Sorry for causing a disturbance sir. But I was singing." Kasidee chirped.

This was one of those moments I wanted to face palm my self. "We'll just get off this stop. And you can go back to doing your job." I grabbed Kasidee's hand I gave the bus driver and certain hand gesture that Kasidee didn't see.

"Disrespectful kids these days." The bus driver muttered. And closed the doors on us and drove away.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for us to get kicked off the bus." Kasidee pouts.

"It's okay we are at least three blocks from the Chinese Buffet." I say. "Let's wall the rest of the way."

Eventually we reach our destination. Jade Dragon's Chinese Buffet. The front was decorated gold, and emerald paint. The doors were wide with golden studs, and two small dragons were the door handles. Kasidee and I went inside the doors.

"Welcome to Jade Dragon's Chinese Buffet. How many people?" The Young Chinese lady greeted us happily. I read her name tag read Ming.

"Two." I reply.

"How old." Ming asked.

"I'm 14 and the little one is 6." I inform.

Ming looked at me and then at Kasidee. "Aren't you too young for you to be by yourself with no adult?" She questioned.

Ming was getting on my nerves. I was about to say something but Kasidee sang. "Can we get a table? We are very hungry."

Ming looked dazed and then she spoke. "Of course, I will lead you to your table." She walked us through the dining room. The aroma of food smelled heavenly and the dining room was full of people slurping, chomping, and eating their food. Ming led us to a booth. Kasidee was already in the buffet line grabbing as much food one plate could carry.

"Enjoy your food." Ming bowed and walked away.

I join in the buffet line with Kasidee. We bring back a plate full of food. Noodles, with shrimp, and fried rice, egg rolls. Nothing could get better than this. After one plate Kasidee, and I were so full even Santa Claus will think we were his twins. A different waiter came to our booth.

"Here is your bill. And here are your fortune cookies." He smiled. He definitely look American, and he was in his teens. Without another word he walked away.

"Wow a cookie." Kasidee instantly unwrapped the fortune cookie from its plastic wrapping and shoved the whole thing in her mouth.

"There's paper in side the cookie." I laughed.

She spat out the cookie. And she wiped her tongue with a napkin. "Get the paper out of yours so I can eat it."

I followed her orders and I cracked open the fortune cookie. On the paper it said,

No time to explain. Pack up your belongings now. Your satyr is coming soon. Everything will be explained, prepare yourself.
-Chiron

Wow what a cheap knock off. I heard of a Satyr, they were men who were half goat from Greek mythology. Also Chiron was a centaur that trained Hercules. Just so you know I got an A on Greek Mythology in 5th grade. I crumpled up the fortune. I was expecting for a message like 'Good fortune will come to you, like a river that flows through a desert.' Or something else like that. Kasidee ate the cookie remains. I slipped the free coupon in the leather bill pouch.

"Ready to go home? " I asked Kasidee.

"Yeah." Kasidee slips out of the booth.

We walk home and Kasidee listens to music and she doesn't sing. Honestly I have no explanation for Kasidee's ability to sing people to sleep. After a long walk we finally end up home. Tony was in the living room sitting in his couch potato chair. Beer cans were all over the place.

"Where have you been?" He slurred. His eyes were bloodshot. Yep he was definitely drunk.

"We went out to eat." I reply firmly.

Tony burped. Then his dark eyes glowed neon green. That was not natural for a human being. Smog started to spew from his mouth. "You can run Autumn. But you cannot hide the power that is within you. We will find you and your sister and we will drain every drop of blood from both of your bodies." His sounded like he he smoked 6 packs a day instead of 3 packs. Then he shoved his hands in his pockets and brought out sharp blades.

"Kasidee go get the Emergency Run Away kit." I yelled.

She nodded her head and she ran to our bedroom. Psycho Tony's hard gaze turned directly at her.

"Hey barf breath over here." I waved my hands to get his attention.

His head snapped to my direction. Like a blink of an eye a small blade grazed my right shoulder. I clutch my right shoulder and scream in pain. Kasidee ran out of the room and to my side.

"Don't. Hurt. My. Sister!" She screamed. Like if Psycho had been hit by a bus, he flew against the wall like a rag doll. He crumpled to the floor with no movement whatsoever.

"C'mon let's go." I pulled Kasidee's hand and ran out the door as fast as my legs could carry. This was insane. My right shoulder hurts so bad. Blood was still coming out of the wound. My mind was on over drive.

"Autumn stop your burning me!" Kasidee pulled her arm out of my grasp.

"I'm sorry." I pulled an ice pack from the Emergency Run Away Kit. And I place it onto her burn. "Were almost to the park. We just have to keep running."
