*Jessica's Past*

It has been a couple of hours since we left the quaint little town of Harrison Valley, Pennsylvania. I was still flying the chariot.

"Do you guys wanna see something cool?" Nick asked us.

"Sure." Jessica and I replied.

"I've been wanting to try these bad boys for a while." Nick stood up and leaned over the chariot side.

"What are you doing?" I say frantically.

"Trust me." Nick jumped out of the chariot. His new converse shoes opened up little flaps. The little flaps were wings! They lifted him next to the chariot. He was flying! "Yeah!" He cheered. "They actually worked!"

He soared among the clouds. But he stayed close to the chariot so he wouldn't get lost.

Jessica looked a little bummed out. So I decided to talk to her.

"Hey Jessica, to pass the time, can I ask you a question?" I asked her.

"Sure ask me anything." She smiled at me. Her blue eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"How did you end up at camp?"

"Yeah I'm not going to answer that question." She grumbled. "It's to.....painful to talk about."

"Okay I understand." I dropped the topic.

"Fine." She sighed. "If you want to know then I'll tell you. Beside I don't have anything else to talk about or do."

She continued. "I grew up on a farm in Sequim, Washington. I had a loving mother and father. My mom, the goddess Aphrodite was different back then. She always read me bedtime stories before I went to sleep. She always pocked put my clothes, to make sure I look like a little princess. For my 3rd birthday she gave me a teddy bear." She chuckled slightly. "I named it Mr. Ted, he and I were best friends. My powers increased at the time. So I would always throw tea parties with him. Little tea kettles would fly through the air and pour tea into the cups themselves. Well, with the help of my powers. That may sound weird but I didn't had siblings, or any friends back then. Mom and Dad knew about my powers but they loved me anyways."

She paused for a minute. I didn't know it hurts her so badly to tell me her past. But she kept going. "I was 6 years old at the time. One day I came from preschool. Dad drove me home on the nice sunny day. When we got home mom was nowhere to be seen. She had left a note saying,

Sorry my loves. I had to leave. But always know I love you with all my heart.

Dad was furious, he blamed me that she had left. He had said that I was a freak and that why she had left. After the past week he had locked me in my room. Without food or water. The sound of furniture breaking and Mom's China cabinet echoed through the house. I couldn't take it anymore. So, one night I unlocked the door, with my telekinesis and crept downstairs with Mr.Ted in my grasp.
What I saw was unforgivable, what no child so deserves to see. My father had hanged himself with a old rope from the barn, connected to the ceiling fan. At that moment I thought of running away. I packed all my things. Which were two pairs of t-shirts and pants. And Mr.Ted, I had nowhere else to go. So I ventured off to the nearest city. Which was 60 miles away. I walked for a whole day, and finally i reached the city of Seattle. I wrote on an cardboard sign saying, Please take me to Disneyland? It may have been stupid but on the t.v it said that if you go to Disneyland your dreams would come true. My only dream was to see my mother again. Just one time, I didn't care where or when. I just wanted to see her. No one payed attention to me. But I didn't want to use my powers to persuade them to take me there. For the next three years I lived on the streets of Seattle. No help from anyone, but I knew my way around every nook and corner in Seattle. By the time I was 10, something irregular happened. My mom's image appeared, I couldn't believe my eyes. In pink cloud of smoke-POOF!- I ended up on the hill of Camp Half-Blood." Jessica finished.

I was shocked at how much pain Jessica had suffered. Not as much pain I had been through.

"I didn't know you had such a dark past." I whispered. I hope she doesn't feel bad.

"Actually I feel great." A look of shock and exitement exploded on her face. "Wait I just read your mind! I'm back baby!" She jumped with joy. Which shook the chariot a little.

"What'd going on?" Nick flew closer to the chariot to check things out.

"I have my powers again!" Jessica's 1 billion dollar smile could light up a whole city.

I liked to see my friends happy. It just made me feel happy.

Nick expertly landed in the chariot. "I saw a sign saying welcome to Iowa. So we have to keep flying straight."

I beamed with happiness. "We're coming Kasidee." I snapped the reigns and Starburst went two times faster.

A storm was brewing in the sky. A bolt of lightning cracked, and it nearly hit the chariot. Thunder rumbled which made the chariot a little Topsy-turvy.

"Zeus must not be happy." Jessica mumbled.

"Or either those storm spirits are angry." Nick points out.

Zooming through the gray sky three dark-grey cloud figures cackled evily.

Oh C'mon! Not now!
