*Training goes fairly well*
The bow and arrow was in my sweaty hands. Why did I bet against Nick? I wouldn't be stuck training with him the whole day if I'd kept my mouth shut.
"You ready Autumn?" Nick asks as he placed a target 50 ft ahead of me.
I raise the bow up and position the arrow in the string. My hands and arms were shaking. My breathing was fast, sweat poured on my face. Why am I so nervous?
"Need help Autumn?" Nick runs to me. In a blink of an eye he was standing next to me. "Your balance is a little off." His hands place on my hips. Which didn't help my breathing, it was two times faster than before. "Your legs should be shoulder length apart." I followed his instruction.
Nicks hands trailed up my sides and stopped at my arms. Heat coursed through my veins. I glowed a little. Nick took his hands off me for a second. "Relax Autumn," he smiled softly. 'Try telling that to my hormones! Gods why do I feel this way. I'm only 14!' I yelled in my head. His hands were back on my waist. "Now your arms may be the problem." His right hand grabbed mine. He helped me fix the arrow. "Now, look at the target. Do you see it?" I nod my head in response. "Good, now aim at the target." I fixed the bow, I pull the string with the arrow in it.
"Release." Nick's voice vibrated against my neck.
I let go of the string, the arrow sliced through the air. And stabbed through the bullseye of the target. Then another arrow appeared and took its place in the bow.
"Good job, Fall." Nick high fived me.
Another nickname. Just great. "Thanks, Dash." I replied with a smile. A/N: an Incredible's reference
"We are not done training yet." He disappeared and returned back with more targets. "This is only the beginning."
I prepare the arrow. "I'm ready." Nick ran 60ft ahead and placed a target. I quickly shot the arrow and it hits the bullseye. "Yeah!" I yell happily.
"Autumn," I hear Jessica's voice calling me. "There you are. We need to talk."
"Yeah. What's up?" I ask. Jessica was acting weird, she had a worried look in her blue eyes.
"What did you the the past 4 hours?" Jessica asked.
"First, I ate breakfast, then had a race with Nick-"
"A race? Autumn do you know what the prophecy says? You will be challenged in a relay. Relay means race!"
How could I have missed that! Maybe I was too distracted by Nick. I thought to myself.
"Yes you were." Jessica answered. I forgot she can read minds. "Autumn you have to be careful with this prophecy stuff. It could be a big disaster if-"
"Wait what? There is another prophecy?" Nick gasped.
"Keep your voice down." Jessica hissed. "We don't want anymore demigods to know about this. Especially the Big 7." What and who are the big 7? "I'll explain everything to you tonight. Meet me at the camp fire tonight, then we will talk."
We all nodded our heads in agreement. What did tonight had in store for us?
