Chapter 4

**My first conversation with a Satyr**

"What is Camp-Half blood? Is it like a summer camp?" I ask.

"Sure something like that." He said. Then his brown eyes focused on my wound. "How did you get that!"

I looked at my wound. "Oh. I got this from Psycho Step dad's blades."

"Here eat this." Grover dug through his pockets and handed me a square that looked like a fruit strip. "You smell like a demigod, so you can eat it. But don't eat to much or you'll explode."

"Wait, a demigod? Aren't those children from the Greek God's affair with humans ?" More questions came into my mind.

"Just eat the Ambrosia and ask questions later." Grover orders.

"Are you a demigod?" I ask as I nibble on the Ambrosia. It tasted like freshly baked cookies. Like the ones i used to get when I went to the Jewel Osco down the street. My shoulder felt alot much better. I could actually move it around.

"Nope. I'm a satyr." He said.

"You don't look like a satyr." I comment.

"I have pants on." He states. Then he rolls up one pants sleeve and I saw bark brown fur. Or his legs were really hairy, I couldn't tell. "Also, I have a hat hiding my horns." He pulled off his rasta cap and two small bumps were on his head.

Kasidee started to stir in her sleep. The she sat up. "Good morning Autumn, good morning hobo." She yawned and rubbed her eyes.

"Good morning." I reply.

Grover sniffed the air as if he was a dog."Great, the both of you are awake. So let's get going." Quickly, he stood up and climbed outside to rock climbing wall. "C'mon we have no time to lose. I smell something coming."

I pulled Kasidee up and I carried her out of the rock climbing wall. I saw Grover running to the water fountain. He threw a gold coin into it and said some words. A rainbow full of color sprang out of the fountain. An image of a man in a beard appeared.

The ground shook. Hundreds of birds flew into the sky's from the tree tops. Screeching they warned the other birds to fly away. Far into the baseball field black soil erupted like geysers. From the geysers the came eight foot tall monsters. They had six arms on their bodies. What the hell is going on? Kasidee was in my arms and she to began to hold me tight.

"Autumn over here!" Grover ran over to me and he held my hand. We both ran to the fountain and Kasidee was still in my arms.

I heard neighing from the skies. Down came a chariot and pegasus. It landed near the fountain. A guy and a girl were inside the chariot. They had orange t-shirts. Kasidee slipped out of my grasps.

"Autumn help me!" She screamed as one of the six handed monsters took off with her. I ran after it. Kasidee was still screaming which made me run faster. I began to slow down and the monster was still running towards his other friends.

White hot heat filled through my veins. I began to glow. Then a heat wave surged out of my body and aimed at the six- handed monster. Instantly it melted like if was a popsicle on a summer day. I collapsed and my vision turned black. Still hearing Kasidee screaming.
