Chapter Twelve
Luke's POV

I sat with Ashlyn in the taxi on our way to talk with Alice.

"He doesn't want to leave, I tried to tell him he has to but he said he doesn't give a fuck anymore" Ashlyn sighs.

"I understand that, he's always been like this, he puts family and friends before anything" I reply.

"I just don't want you guys to have to cancel half your tour again, it's not fair to the fans"
Ashlyn frowns.

I nod. "We'll work something out with Alice" I say.

"Maybe we can change some dates, get more days off in a row so he can fly back here and spend more time with Cece"

Ashlyn smiles a small smile for a moment before she frowns again.

"He's so scared of losing her"

"Ever since yesterday when, when her lungs filled with fluid and she couldn't breath, he's
just been terrified"

"It's understandable" I say.

"At first the doctors thought it was genetic but they did some tests" Ashlyn says.

How could they do test with out both parents DNA?

"But wouldn't they need 'Her' DNA to do the test?" I ask.

Ashlyn nods.

"She came to the hospital Luke, she broke out of the officers grip and ran down the hall at me, she snatched Asher from my arms" Ashlyn cries.

She quickly looks up at
me.

"I was so scared. She had her hand wrapped around Asher's neck"

"The officers had to pry her off"

"Calum doesn't know. He can't
know. I just needed to get it off my chest" Ashlyn says.

"I wont tell him don't worry"

Ashlyn nods.

*25 Minutes Later*

Ashlyn and I sat down in front of Alice.

"What did you need to talk to me about?" Alice asked.

"The tour" I say.

"We need more days to come home" I add.

"Why?"

"Because Calum wants to be with Cecilia" Ashlyn says.

"No, anything else?" Alice said.

"But Cece was just diagnosed with Cancer!" I yell.

Alice's jaw drops.

"I'm so sorry to hear, I didn't know" Alice said.

"I will talk with the people and try and get some dates changed or events moved closer to home" Alice said.

"Thank you" Ashlyn says.

"Even if only Calum can go and be home the guys and I are okay with that, so he could miss some interviews?" I say.

Alice nods.
