Chapter Nineteen
Calum's POV

I was awoken to the sound of my phone ringing loudly.

I slowly sit up rubbing my eyes.

I search around my bed with my hands for my phone and find it.

I squint at the brightness and notice Ashlyn is calling.

I'm about to answer when the call ends. I notice I have 4 missed calls from her.

I quickly call her back and she answers right away sobbing.

"Ashlyn? Baby whats going on!?" I ask quickly.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop her, I wasn't there, I didn't know" Lyn cries.

"Couldn't stop who? Ashlyn what happened?" I ask confused and worried.

"They tried to stop her but she killed them" she sobs.

"What? Who killed who? Baby whats going on?" I ask scared and extremely worried.

"They arrested the wrong person" she sniffles.

"What?" I ask confused.

"Maria, they didn't arrest her, she had an identical twin named Marie, they arrested the wrong person" Ashlyn explains through her tears.

My body tenses.

"She's been free this whole time!?" I ask quickly.

The door to my hotel opens and Luke walks in sleepily rubbing his eyes.

"Yes! She's been stalking us! Documenting every place we've been to, everything, she has pictures of me and the kids, Cece's hospital file" Ashlyn cries.

"She knew Cece was here" She sobs.

"Ashlyn how do you know all this?" I ask.

"She took her Calum" Ashlyn cried.

"Took who?" I ask not even really thinking about who it could be.

"She took Cece" Ashlyn sobs.

I swear in that moment everything went into slow motion.

All sound stopped.

My phone fell from my hand and slowly fell to the ground.

I stumbled backwards and slammed into the wall sliding down it.

"No, no, no" I repeated over and over and over.

The world slowly started to go back to normal.

"Calum? Calum! Calum!?" Luke yelled.

He smacked me in the face snapping me out of my current state.

I quickly pushed past him and grabbed my phone off the floor.

"How? How did she get to her!? There's always a security guard in front of her door" I say my voice cracking.

My eyes burned with tears.

"There was 2 police officers guarding her door and one officer in her room, I didn't want to worry you so I didn't tell you when the police told me" Lyn cried.

Tears streamed down my face.

"The 3 officers were found brutally stabbed to death in Cece's hospital room, she killed them in front of her Cal, she watched Maria murder 3 men" Ashlyn cried.

"I'm coming home as soon as I can I don't give a fuck about the tour!" I yell through my tears.

"I want my daughter back who knows what that psycho bitch is doing to her!?" I cry.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't there, this is all my fault" Ashlyn cried.

"Ashlyn baby this isn't your fault, it's not your fault" I cry.

"She is calling her May, Calum she's changing her identity"

"We will get her back!" I say.

"I have to go bye Calum I love you" Ashlyn said before hanging up.

"Fuck!" I scream and throw my phone across the room.

"Calum?" Luke asks concerned.

"Maria took Cece" I cry.

My knees begin to feel weak and I feel like they're going to give out.

Luke notices and quickly grabs me as I crumble to the floor sobbing.

"But she's in jail?" Luke says.

"She had a twin, Marie, they arrested the wrong person"

"Calum we're going to get her back" Luke says.

"I need to go back home, I need to look for her, I can't be here I need to leave now" I say quickly, I don't even know if Luke understood anything I just said.

"Right now you need to get some rest. I will get you a flight in the morning, I will come with you, but right now you need to sleep okay?" Luke says.

He wipes my tears from my eyes and I slowly nod.

He helps me up and into my bed.

"Luke don't go, I need someone to cuddle" I almost whisper.

"I would never dream of leaving" Luke says.

"Thank you for being there Luke" I sniffle.

"You don't need to thank me Calum, you're one of my best friends, I love you like a brother I will always be here for you" he says.

He cuddles with me as I slowly drift to sleep.
