~~~Mia~~~
I awake with six heads looking over mine. There's Jane (who must be standing over my feet) and then you know... just the boys of One Direction. I try to move, but my head hurts too much. Instead, I just lie there lifeless on the floor of what seems to be a room backstage. They all step away a bit, except for Liam. He smiles down at me before scooping his hand underneath my spine and knees. He carries me over to the couch. But, believe me. If my head didn't hurt so bad, I would've punched him square in the throat.
Liam helps me over to the couch where I lay my head back and wait for -I think it's Niall- to get back with a wet washcloth while Harry plays with Jane's hair and Liam continues smiling at me like a weirdo. These people are freaks. Harry keeps going on and on about how much fun he's going to have on tour, Zayn and Louis keep laughing about something and of course the weirdest, Liam just stares at me. I think that somehow, their producer really just broke them out of the looney bin instead of actually giving them the record deal. Niall finally gets back with a wet washcloth and ice pack. Liam lifts my neck up which helps with the moving part. After about a minute of him having to hold it there, I finally regain enough strength to hold up my head. I look across the room and see Jane laughing.
Harry finally speaks up, "I'm really sorry about your head."
"It's fine. Jane, can you call Justin to come and get us? I don't think that grandpa would be very happy if he heard that I had gotten hurt at the concert."
"Justin can't come and get us. He's DJing with Beyonce tonight! He won't be able to until like 3 am..." Jane says. I sigh deeply and try to think of something.
"Hey! How about Jane and us stay here and Liam can take you to the hospital?" Harry suggests.
"... I guess it's fine..." I say. Harry jumps up from the couch sitting across from Liam and I and runs over to me.
"Thank you!" He kisses my forehead gently and runs back over to Jane and the rest of the boys.
"Here... Let me help you." Liam reaches his hand out to me and I grab it gently. I begin to stand and fall into his arms for stability. He holds my hand on the way out of the building to his car. It resembles the bat mobile a bit. There are cameras flashing in my face as Liam hurries me into the front passenger seat. He quickly climbs around the front of the car, avoiding the paparazzi. He turns on the car as he climbs in and almost drives over the crazed cameramen.
When we arrive at the hospital, cameramen and fans are waiting outside. Instead of just letting me try to walk. He throws me over his shoulders and carries me into the building. Liam sets me down as we arrive at the emergency section.
We see a doctor almost immediately. Liam talks to the doctor for a while outside the room. They almost seem like they know each other, though it wouldn't surprise me seeing how young the doctor looks. Man, Great Britain is a freaky place and London is the center of it all.
The doctor walks back in the room without Liam and closes the door behind him.
"So what seems to be the problem?" He asks me.
"Well... I was at a One Direction concert tonight and I was hit in the head with a microphone..." I say as my face turns red from embarassment.
"Let me guess... Harry?" He asks me.
"Yep. Umm... Doctor? Can I trust you? Because it may be a very important detail to any questions that come up..."
"Yes. You can't always trust a doctor, but I promise you can trust me." He replies.
"I'm immortal." I say. He continues smiling.
"What?"
"Me. I'm immortal. I can prove it. Please take the knife out of my stomach after this." I take the scalpel from the shelf and stick it into my stomach. "Hurry. Don't just stand there, take it out." I demand. He quickly takes it out and watches in somewhat of an awe as the wound seals back up.
"So... You're one of them?" He asks me. I nod.
"So, I'm not the only one?" I begin to ask excitedly.
"Of course not. However, you are special. I've never seen someone close up that slowly. Do you have to take out the object?" He asks me. I nod. "Oh. I see now... You're a darker!" He says as though he had just found something out.
"A what?" I ask confused as usual.
"A darker is half immortal half human. Your parents must've been opposite. A darker is still immortal, but they can still get wounds... On the inside. You can still get a concussion or cancer, but it's not possible for you to die. It's hard to explain. Okay? Alright now back to the examination..." He says grabbing a little flash light.
"Can I come in yet or not?" Liam asks suspiciously from outside the door.
"Why not. Come in." The doctor says irritated. Liam walks into the room as the doctor is making me follow a light with my eyes. "Now, Mia... I need to you stretch out your arms and try to only use your elbows. I want you to touch your nose." He requests.
"She's hurt. Not drunk, smart one." Liam sasses him.
"Looks like you have a pretty severe concussion, Mia. You'll have to stay in town a while longer." The doctor explains.
"Like, how long?" Liam asks him.
"Well, it could take a while for it to heal. Anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months."
"6 months?!"
"Yes. You will have to stay with the boys and their supervisors. If not, it could not heal correctly."
"Will I have to come in on a daily basis?!" I ask. It was already bad enough.
"That won't be necessary. I will do house visits. And Liam, Ruth wants you to call her back about moms birthday." The doctor says.
"You know him?" I ask Liam. He rolls his eyes.
"Unfortunately, yes. He's my brother in law." Liam replies.
"Well, I have to be getting home now. I'll see you next week!"
Yep. This trip is definitely not perfect.
