***Mia's POV***
I look up at Liam, the tears are there, just sitting in his eyes. He turns and runs out the glass doors, probably to go somewhere darker. It's killing me to know that he's hurting so much, and mostly because of me. Does everybody think that I don't love him back? I bet they all think I'm a terrible person.
I have to fix this.
It's all up to me.
I confront Mark who is now off stage after his big 'Liam' episode.
"You have no clue what's even going on between Liam and I, so you best stay out of it." I snap as he takes a sip of water.
"No. I do know. You don't love him so you are leaving tomorrow. He loves you though. You're now thinking about staying because now he's actually becoming famous."
"You're so used to those types of people aren't you?" I begin to raise my voice. "Well I am not like that! I do not love people for selfish, material reasons like you, you shallow, self-absorbed son of a bitch!" I am now yelling. I repeat, yelling. "You might want to get your head out of your ass to get a glimpse of real love. Real love is accepting other's flaws and putting their needs before your own and sometimes even putting your life on the line just to make them happy! Attention! Attention, everyone!" I climb up on a table. "Attention! Everyone! I am completely and utterly in love with Liam Payne!" I turn my attention back to Mark and step down, getting in his face. "Are you happy now?"
I run over to one of the security guards and ask if there's anywhere else near the venue that Liam could have gone.
"Yeah, there's a gigantic garden maze in the back." he points to the glass door that Liam ran out of. I look out the door and realize that it's pouring rain.
Oh well, might as well make this night memorable by ruining a dress as well.
I run around every turn and corner, calling out 'Liam' every chance I get. At the very end of the maze is a smaller garden area.
I look around to see a few benches and beautiful greek statues.
There he is- just sitting there on the bench.
He's all alone because of me.
"Liam...." I say.
"What?" he looks up from the bench outside. His hair's soaked from the pouring rain. I can see that his eyes are red and swollen, obviously from crying.
"Stand up. We're dancing." I demand, smirking. He smiles back at me, and stands as he wipes his eyes.
"Why did you come out here. It's obvious that you don't feel the same way." He replies, showing me a sad smile.
"Well I guess that I have had you fooled. The truth is, that I'm in love with a person who's in love with a monster." I smile, staring into his deep chocolate eyes.
"Then what are you so afraid of?" He asks wrapping his arms tighter around my waist, so that my body is closer to his.
"Well," I start. I've never really known the answer to this question. "You're the one whose afraid of me."
"I could never be afraid of you. Ever." He replies. His smile fades and only an intense look stays on his face.
"Well, then I'm afraid you'll leave me." I say seriously, pulling my face closer to his. He glances down at all of my face and smiles slightly.
"I would never leave you. I would wait forever. Here with you." He smiles again and my heart melts. That was too cheesy! Oh god! He's turning me into a softie! It's already starting to take it's toll.
"I just hope forever is only till you kiss me-" I'm cut off by his lips which are on mine quickly, but gently. He pulls away and my eyes are still wide open from the surprise.
"Well, I guess now I can leave-" He begins, pulling his hands away from my waist.
"Just shut up" I smirk and pull his head back to mine, kissing him again and feeling not fireworks, not sparks, but a strum, or a vibration that you feel on your fingertips when you're playing the guitar, or feeling the strings of a piano. It's the best feeling that you will ever have, especially, when you're kissing the person you love the most in the entire world.
"Oh hey."
"What?" I ask him smiling.
"Where are your Converse?" he laughs. This guy; he thinks he has me. Not this time. I pull up the hem of my dress, now completely trashed by the gardens, to reveal a pair of beautiful purple Converse.
"How you like them apples?" I laugh again.
"Oh, you got me Hunter. Impressive! I almost forgot!" he lets go of my waist and starts digging around in his jacket pockets. He pulls out a beautiful necklace. "Here we are!"
"Oh my god! Liam! It's the one that I wanted! Thank you so much!" The necklace was a silver heart with an infinity sign inside of it. Written on the infinity sign was a small quote that read 'infinity is forever'.
"Here, let me put it on you." Liam offered.
"Thank you, kind gentleman." I giggle.
"Anytime, young lady. Sorry that just sounds creepy when I say it like that." he blushes.
"Liam, why'd you get this for me?"
"Because I love you. And I will love you for always. I mean, I'll infinity love you. Shit no, I'll always love you, for infinity. Sorry." he chuckles again.
"I love you too. But you do know that infinity's a long time. You might fall in love with someone else."
"I know that forever is a long time."
"And you're sure that you want to love me forever?" I ask. His eyes boring into mine, making me blush, but not the 'cutsie' kind of blush.
"Of course I'm sure." he chuckles, reassuring me slightly.
"But how do you know th-" he cuts me off
"Because infinity is forever."
