***Mia's POV***
When I got home from the run, I felt different. It was like I was on a rollercoaster that never slowed down. Like you feel great and then- Boom!- you're about to throw up in the nearest trash bin. Or like watching a scary movie when you know that it's only fake, but you get scared when you hear a noise in the house. I felt like I was great. I could fly. But I also felt as though I wanted to leave. I wanted to hide. But I guess that's what having someone you can trust feels like. All the people that I have ever trusted have lost that priveledge, and right now, Liam is the only one who I can trust with my life. After my whole life of let downs, I guess this is what it feels like to have someone who will always be there. I feel like the happiest person in the world. Yet, I feel so sad and vulnerable because I know from past experiences that he will do his best to stay with me and even though he tries, he'll fail and leave without a care in his mind. Oh god.
Is this what love is?
Nah. I'm not throwing up, so I'm good.
*** The Next Morning ***
"Mia.... Oh I hope I'm not being rude... Mia... wake up..." I open my eyes and as they adjust, I see Liam standing over me.
"What's up?" I ask him groggily. He points to stairs that lead to the front door and looks back at me nervously.
"Some man is here to see you, I guess..." He walks away shyly. I get up, stretching as I make my way to the front door. I unlock it and open it to someone who I'm pissed at.
"Not right now, dad." I turn away grumpily walking up the stairs.
"Mia, wait. I had to go to the ER because Karen had bad stomach pains." he replied, following me in and shutting the door behind him.
"Oh... Karen... is the step-step-monster okay?" I ask jokingly.
"Hey. I know I'm still your step-father, but I don't like hearing it. Yes she's fine though." He replies, turning me around to face him. I snap around and walk into the kitchen greeting Jasmine as she stands nuzzled into Harry's neck.
"Who's this?" Harry asks, temporarily stepping away from Jasmine to give my dad a handshake.
"You're from that boy-band! Ehh... One Direction, right?" He asks Harry. I told you that over the phone, stupid.
"Yeah! This is my girlfriend, Jasmine." Harry takes her hand and gently pulls her forward to stand against him again.
"Mia, I talked to your mother earlier and we both thought it would be a good idea if you stayed at my house tonight. I won't see you for a while because I'm going on a business trip the next day, but I thought maybe we could watch a few movies tonight and make a fort." My dad smiles down at me.
"Okay." I sigh. Great. These hooligans are gonna trash my house and burn it down. "Let me just pack a bag for tonight." I grab a pen and write down my dad's phone number and the address.
"What are you doing?" Dad asks me as I put the sticky note on the fridge.
"I always do this. With this group, you never know what could happen."
*************************************************
"What movies do you want to watch?" My dad asks knocking on my door that was already open. I look up at him.
"I don't know. How about a Disney marathon?" I ask him smiling.
"Sounds great! I'm gonna go make some popcorn. You unpack first.
