~~~Mia~~~
I awake unpleasantly with the sun shining through the cliche purple drapes only to reflect off of my alarm clock and into my eyes. Afterwards, pulling back the covers and placing my feet on the fuzzy purple carpet. I look around my new room once more, doing a double take after I realized just how cliche it actually was. Purple and white everywhere, a high framed bed, a small white table next to the door with a bowl of M&M's and of course, the framed poster of the Eiffel Tower hanging above my headboard. My new living situations are going to be hard to get used to.
I pull on my bath robe and walk into the bathroom extension of my room to take a shower. Getting in, I almost slip, but I catch myself on the shower rack which then falls off of the shower-frame. About half way through shampooing my hair, I hear a loud thud coming from my room. I finish up quickly, intrigued to see what was going on, but at the same time a little bit frightened.Pulling on my bathrobe, I burst through my bathroom door only to find my younger sister, Jane, rustling through my door looking for clothes.
"Jane! Please, just for once, don't steal my clothes. You do have your own." I say, shocking her.
"But your clothes are cuter and you're allowed to wear skirts above your knees. Do you see what I have wear? It's so gross!" She says. Of course I have to live with my often-complaining, thirteen year old sister. I roll my eyes and throw her out of my room and start in the search through my white dresser for something nice to wear today. I'm taking Jane to London for a night to see her favorite (and my least favorite) band, One Direction. Now everytime I hear 'Torn' on the radio, it triggers my medically diagnosed One Direction repulsion. I don't necassarily hate their music, but they do seem pretty stuck up and narcassistic as every other musicians in the world.
I pull out a pair of dark skinny jeans, a black tank-top and, a beige half shirt with a cute fox on it, thinking that would be nice enough to wear to museums, but casual enough for a concert and walking around the city. I walk into the bathroom and close the door before getting dressed for the day. After I jump up and down to get my jeans on, I walk back into my room to look at myself in the full body mirror on the wall, however, I notice that something's missing. I go into the bathroom and do my hair before pulling on my black and purple starred Converse. I had never worn them before and I was saving them for a very important day like this one. London is my dream city, all the classic architecture, museums, fancy shops and I was even looking forward to eating there. I needed it to be perfect. And by the way I had planned it, it was going to be.
I pull my phone out of the charger next to my bed and drop it in my bag. Jane walks into my room nonchalantly and grabs one of my dresses that I was planning on wearing for my date with my boyfriend, Jack, tomorrow. He and I have been going out for almost two years and he's visiting me now since my living arrangements are brand new. Tomorrow afternoon, he'd be flying in.
"Jane, you can't borrow that dress." I say plainly as she stands, planning to walk back to her room.
"Fine. Then I guess I'll have to steal it." She giggles jokingly. I grab her arm and pull her back to sit on the bed.
"You can't wear that dress. I need it for my date with Jack. Wear one of your own." I protest as I take it out of her hands and put it back on my bed.
"Eww. I hate Jack. He's such an asshole. Could you just break up with him already? I never wanna see him again. The only good thing is that he brings pizza everywhere he goes." She whines. I roll my eyes.
"Jack my boyfriend, Jane. Stop trying to interfere with love." I continue getting ready for the day. Camera, check. Phone, check. Tickets, check. Taxi, not check. "Jane can you call in Justin? We actually need a ride to London if we are going." I sass her. She gets off of the bed and runs into the hallway. I know she's going to get her phone because I can hear her stomping into her room. I finish packing notebooks and multiple cameras into my bag and slide down the staircase banister. I then run into the kitchen and grab a granola bar and a Diet Coke. I have great breakfast choices.
"Mia! I think Justin is here! He's out back!" I hear her scream down the hall. I didn't even notice her coming down the stairs. I pick up my bag from the table and run down the hall. I accidentally hit my head on the iron sign that says 'Home' hanging down. I feel the blood coming. Shit. I try to find something to hurry it along, but there's only things up in my room. I just wait for the five minutes it takes and eventually, ithe bleeding just reverses. I feel it go back into the wound and seal up. Another thing, in case you were wondering. I'm immortal.
