***Liam's POV***
"Hello?" I hear Mia answer faintly. "Dad?" I sit up straight, pulling the blankets off of her legs.
"What's going on, Mia?" I ask her curiously. She shoos me away and I lay back down. She's so... interesting. I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes, its like we have connections. And don't think that I'm a pervert or anything, because I'm not, but that kiss in the pool, it was like something was finally making sense to me. All I used to feel when kissing someone else, was emptiness and despair. I know, I sound like a loser, but still. I've never felt this way about a girl. Although, she does have quite an attitude.
"You're visiting today?" She asks excitedly. Her face instantly lights up. I furrow my brow, in her face and she smirks back at me. She then mouths the word 'adorable' and I begin to blush.
"Okay, so, four o'clock today? Sounds perfect! See you then! Love you." She says, then taking the phone away from her ear.
"Would you please explain what's happening?" I chuckle at her youthful smile.
"Well, I haven't seen my step-dad in a while, so he's finally coming up to visit me. This is a really big deal. He'll be here at four so I'll probably be getting ready." she explains as I stare at her, most likely blank faced.
"Okay" I reply after a bit of awkward silence. She then gets up and pulls out some of her clothes and runs towards the shower.
"Liam, I'll be ready in about half an hour. Do you want to go to lunch? I don't feel like cooking." she called from the bathroom. And this is why I can't have nice things.
***Mia's POV***
After I took a shower, I walked out to the living room and saw Liam talking on the phone.
"Yeah okay. I understand. I'm sorry, but I just can't." There was a long pause. "I've fallen in love with someone else." He says, then hanging up on the person. I instantly hide behind the corner. What? Who's Liam in love with? Why am I freaking out? I don't even like him! Do I?
"Oh hey Mia! You ready to go for lunch?" He asks me.
"Oh yeah, just let me grab my bag." I reply walking up the stairs and grabbing my bag from the white chairs in the dining room.
Well, for the first time in my life I'm jealous of someone I don't even know.
***Liam's POV***
As we walk out the door, I remember that we don't have a car. I walk over to her ready to tell her our dilemma when she grabs a helmet throws her left leg over the seat of her mo-ped.
"Well, are you coming or not?" She asks me as I stand there, looking like an idiot.
"Oh, um yeah. Where are the helmets?" I ask her looking around. She turns her uppers body around and opened up a compartment in the back of it and grabbed a black helmet out of it.
"Hop on." She smiles.
"Okay." I reply and get on, wrapping my hands around her waist, holding on fairly tight. She starts it up and we drive away. "Are you sure this isn't too uncomfortable for you? I am kinda heavy."
"It's fine. It's not like your the first person I've given a ride." She says as we turn right onto the main road of the town. We drive down the road then turn left into the small alleyway that we ventured in around a week ago, right after we had arrived.
She walks back with such gusto, like she owned the place, but really, she did.
"George! We're here!" she calls to someone as she leads me up the stairs to a rooftop. It was beautiful, lots of plants and small greenhouses. Then, I have the idea of a liftime...
