***Liam's POV***

I can't believe this is happening... again. Last time he pissed me off, I destroyed a table full of fine china and expensive foods.

"Liam, just calm down." Mia looks up at me, noticing that I'm angry.

"I'm fine. Here, let me introduce you to some people." I reply, turning away from Mark and heading towards the tables for dinner.

I take a look around. There aren't many people that I can introduce her to. Frankly, I don't know half the people standing in this room.

I take another look, taking it all in, recognizing everything. I smile, realizing that this is real stuff. My own band is getting a record deal. We are going to be making music, and selling it. We are going to be performing, maybe even touring.

"Liam, you should be happy. You're finally getting a record deal. You're finally getting you're spotlight. I'm so proud to be with you tonight, because you totally deserve this. You deserve the world." Mia says, trying to make me feel better.

She begins pulling the sides of my mouth upwards with her fingers.

Why does she do this to me? Make me feel like the best person in the world?

I'm not.

"How are you guys liking this party? It's awesome right?" Jasmine smiles, Harry's arm around her waist.

"It's amazing!" Mia smiles, grabbing a drink off of the table.

"Liam, man, can you believe that this is really happening? We're finally getting what we've always wanted!"

"It's... It's unbelievable." I say, thoughts rushing through my mind.

"Well, we're going to go find some random people to introduce ourselves to, okay? Oh and Liam, try to meet some people, you know that there's a possible chance of rainy days up ahead." Harry turns back around and heads over to a couple at the entrance.

"Yeah." I look up and see my mother and father enter the room. "Mum! Dad! I want you to meet someone."

Walking with Mia over to my parents, they smile at her, instantly approving. I smile at them, trying to let them know that this is the girl, that I have deep feelings for. This is the girl that I think I'm in love with. My mum winks at me, making me aware that she has that information already.

"So this is the lovely girl that you've been with. Is he being polite? Has he done anything stupid?" My mum turns to Mia, as she blushes, turning a light pink.

She's so cute when she does that, when she gets embarrassed.

"No. He's been amazing about everything that's been going on. Your son, is so talented. He's the nicest person that I've ever met." Mia smiles at me, making my heart melt.

God, she's just perfect.

"You don't have to say that just because he's standing here." My dad chuckles. Mia starts to laugh, almost hysterically.

"Thanks dad, it means a lot." My snark makes Mia laugh even harder.

"Guess I'm gonna take that back..." She laughs again, this time, a bit calmer.

"Oh well great." I say sarcastically, smiling down at her. I then to her neck, remembering an item on my check-list.

I have to give that to her, but she might think it's creepy, or weird.

"I'm joking." She laughs again, holding up her hands in surrender.

"Okay, well your father and I are going to wander around, but you two have fun!" My mum kisses my cheek, before my dad gives me a hand shake.

"Oh, and congratulations, Liam, I'm so proud of you." He says. I feel a little piece of my heart grow bigger. To know that two people are proud of me, it just makes this moment better. I glance over at Mia, eyes glazing over as she goes into one of her thoughts. Her smile slowly fades and her eyes begin to flicker.

"Mia, you okay?" I slide over next to her.

"What?" she asks snapping out of her daze. "Um, yeah. I'm fine thanks."

"Are you sure?"

"Seriously I'm fine. This is your big night though, so you might want to have some fun, yeah?" She smiles and tightens my tie, making this whole 'wedding' idea feel so much more realistic.

We walk over to the snack table again, I take a mini-quiche and a glass of punch. I look over at Mia, who looks around quickly before taking two mini-quiches, three mini-cheesecakes, and another glass of punch.

God, she's absolutely crazy.

We just wander up and down the long snack table, occasionally sneaking cupcakes and brie with crackers.

"Hey, I just remembered something I have to give you." I smile down at her as I walk closer.

"You have something for me, really? Okay, what is it?" she asks, beginning to slightly bounce on her heels.

Getting excited over something that she might not even want, I'm getting her hopes up.

That's the worst thing to do to another human being, disappointing them I mean.

"Close your eyes and turn around."

"Why?" Mia looks at me suspiciously.

"Just trust me, okay?" I chuckle.

"I guess I have to if I want my surprise now don't I?" she winks, then spinning around quickly. My heart starts to thump.

THUMP.

What if she thinks it's weird?

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.

What if she doesn't like it?

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.

What if she doesn't like me?

"Liam? You still there, or do I look like a complete idiot?" she giggles.

"No, I'm here." I take it out and right as I dangle it over her neck, some one turns on the mic.

Great, worst timing in the world, Liam.

"Alright! Shall we get this party started? How about a speech? I will give the first one."

Up on the stage stands Mark.

"Let's start this speech off with the members. There's Harry, Niall, Zane Zayn Louis, and last but certainly not least, Liam." he glares at me.

And for the first time, I intend to glare back.
